Nina Dobrev And Ian Somerhalder Still Feuding On ‘Vampire Diaries’ Set
Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are reportedly still at each other’s throats on the set of The Vampire Diaries. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Dobrev and Somerhalder’s issues behind the scenes are affecting their hit series.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder’s bad blood began after their two-year relationship went sour and they ended their romance. At first they vowed to stay friends and were making their new friendship and working relationship a success. However, when they began to move on and date others they ran into some problems.
Nina Dobrev was romantically linked to hunks such as Orlando Bloom, Derek Hough, and Liam Hemsworth, while Ian Somerhalder’s love life stayed out of the media until he began dating Nikki Reed.
The actress, who is best known for her role in the Twilight films, had recently separated from her husband, American Idol contestant Paul MacDonald, and had known Ian and Nina together as a couple.
However, it seems that Nina Dobrev didn’t take kindly to Ian Somerhalder dating her former friend and became upset and possibly jealous.
When Nikki moved in with Ian in Atlanta, Georgia where The Vampire Diaries is filmed, she quickly became a regular on set. Her presence coupled with the PDA between she and Ian caused some bad blood between Somerhalder and Dobrev.
Things got so bad on set that Nikki was allegedly asked to stay away, and Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder asked to have less romantic scenes together, which is a wish the writers have seemingly granted their two stars.
However, now that Nina is reportedly dating one of Ian’s close friends, Mark Foster, of the band Foster The People, the former couple’s feud seems to be heating up yet again.
Although execs of The Vampire Diaries have allegedly asked Dobrev and Somerhalder to play nice in public, their feud is still very much ongoing behind the scenes. Things have reportedly gotten so bad that fans of the show are now worried that the series could come to a premature end because of Nina and Ian’s constant fighting.
Will The Vampire Diaries be cut short, or will Dobrev and Somerhalder find a way to work through their issues, sustain a professional relationship, like other actors before them such as Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray, and Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter, or will they let their feud kill the show?
