Oprah New Years Hospital: Oprah Spends New Years Eve In The Hospital With Injured BFF Gayle King
Oprah spent her New Years eve in the hospital this year, after her longtime best friend Gayle King got injured during her Hawaiian getaway. According to the Mail Online, King sprained her ankle, and needed medical treatment while in Maui at one of Oprah’s lavish estates. The talk show host flew King’s family in to celebrate King’s 60th birthday and the close of 2014, and to welcome in 2015, but they never expected that they’d be spending much of their time at a hospital.
“Thank you nurse Cindy nurse Leslie favorite son will and.. diagnosis very bad sprain ankle that I twisted and fell heading to gym! No hike no treadmill anytime soon thanx dr Dave Nelson! He got jokes,” said Gayle of the experience.
After Oprah and Gayle’s New Years eve hospital trip, they went back to Oprah’s home and rang in the new year with lots of family and friends. They have all been in Hawaii for a few days, and have been treated to some of the best things anyone could dream of. Oprah brought in some first class chefs to feed her pals, and everyone looked like they were having a wonderful time despite Gayle’s injury.
According to Electronic Urban Report, King is very thankful to those at Kula Hospital, and for her friends and family who took time out of their end-of-the-year celebrations to make sure that she was okay.
“The night ended on a high note for King and her friends and family. A big group gathered in honor of the New Year at Oprah’s Hawaii pad and celebrated with hats, glow sticks and a feast. King shared pics of herself smiling from ear-to-ear with the party-goers and didn’t appear to let her injury dampen her spirit.”
Oprah Winfrey knows how to throw a party, there’s no question about that. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Oprah has partied with some of the most elite celebrities in Hollywood over the years. In 2013, the OWN mogul made headlines when she was seen hanging out with Kanye West, Mick Jagger, Diddy, and Kim Kardashian. She has also been seen with music royalty, Beyonce and Jay-Z. It seems as though everyone loves Oprah, and that could be because she has such a big heart. She really is a great friend, as evidenced by her support of Gayle during her recent hospital trip.
