Look Who’s 40: Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell Still Stunning In Bikinis On The Beach In Brazil

Call it good genes, or clean living, or the perks of being rich, or whatever you want, but neither Naomi Campbell, nor her fellow supermodel, Kate Moss, look anything like what you’d expect when you think of the words “40-plus.” The two models hit the beach in Brazil recently, showing off a pair of bikini bodies that put women half their age to shame.

Campbell and Moss’ Brazilian beach trip came last week, shortly after Christmas, when the pair hit the sands with a coterie of friends and acquaintances. According to The Daily Mail, Naomi and Kate headed off with Kate’s husband, Jamie Hince, and another model, Italian stunner Bianca Balti. Their destination, Transoco: a Brazilian beach famous for its white-sand beaches and well known among celebrities for its semi-deserted sands.

Unfortunately for them – or fortunately for us, depending on how you want to look at it – the paparazzi were on hand to snap pics of Campbell and Moss soaking up the Brazilian sun. According to reports, Kate Moss rocked a monochrome printed Bandeau Salinas bikini by Valimare. No word yet on just what Naomi was wearing, but perhaps words failed the photographers when they saw the 40-year-old on the sands. Because wow.

We’re likely to hear more from Naomi and Kate in the near future. Kate will turn 41 in just under two weeks, and she’s bound to do quite a bit of partying, like she did for the big four-oh last year. If and when Kate Moss does party it up, we’re likely to see appearances from Naomi as well. The two are best friends, and have been for more than 20 years. The secret to their friendship: honesty and openness.

“What’s Kate like?” Naomi explained last year. “Well, she’s honest, loyal and straightforward. There’s no bulls**t. She’s not pretentious in any way. What you see is what you get. I love that about her.”

That friendship has endured even as the two have aged into adulthood.

“Perhaps what I love best about Kate is that she tries to keep the child within her,” Naomi continued. “I would never want her to lose it. Yes, she’s 40, I’m 43, but it’s always great to have your child in you.”
