WWE News: WWE Officials Currently Don’t Know What To Do With Brock Lesnar At WrestleMania 31

While it seems weird, WWE always likes to make sure they have some idea of what they will do at each WrestleMania by the summer period. The sad part of this is that usually they can never seem to stick to it. Sometimes injuries play into why, other times departures. They even have issues with how people will work or struggle with storyline problems. However, this year, they have a good problem.

Unlike previous years, WWE has about five to 10 guys that are ready for the main event picture or a major push. This is something WWE did not plan for back in the summer. The original plans had Brock Lesnar winning the WWE World Heavyweight Title from the current champion at SummerSlam in 2014, then losing it to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 31 this year.

The plans for Roman have now shifted a bit, due to the fact that Vince McMahon does not feel he is ready. Triple H is not completely sold just yet, but did pick Reigns personally as WWE’s next top man. The problem is, Triple H is also high on Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose as well as people like Dolph Ziggler. Despite appearances on TV, everyone loves Daniel Bryan, and feels he is a major star for them. The issue WWE has always had with him is that despite his ability and popularity, he doesn’t fit the look WWE wants in their top star. However, he could serve a role similar to that of The Undertaker. In that, he may not be the guy WWE taps for the top role, but he will always be a force that makes them money all the time.

Then you have people like Brock Lesnar. WWE wants to use him, but there an issue in how. It is all but confirmed that Lesnar will leave WWE when his current deal is up. However, Daily Wrestling News reports that people like Vince McMahon want to put him in a big match. Triple H agrees, but not in the same setting.

Brock Paul

Vince wants to sign Lesnar to a long-term deal and have him in the biggest Mania main event possible. Meanwhile, Triple H still wants Lesnar to pass the torch, if you will. Vince feels that Lesnar beating Taker was huge, and whoever beats Lesnar next will have a correlation to the Deadman.

While Triple H is still for Reigns/Lesnar for the World Title, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is not as high on this. There is a rumor that it could still happen, but the title could be removed. This is why we have been hearing that someone like Dean Ambrose or Dolph Ziggler could win the Rumble match, and Seth Rollins could cash in Money in the Bank at the Royal Rumble as well.

This would allow WWE to make Reigns, but not give him the title yet. It would also allow WWE to push guys like Ziggler, Ambrose, and Rollins, and potentially have them in the main event of WrestleMania. It would possibly be the push of a lifetime for all involved.

At the end of the day, WWE still is going through concepts of what to do with Lesnar and may not totally be sold yet on what to do with The Beast Incarnate. However, we do know he’ll be wrestling someone at WrestleMania. Who that is and in what match is currently up in the air. There will be tons of rumors until everything is fully set up for WrestleMania. Nothing is confirmed until we get the card. It seems like Lesnar’s role changes week to week.
