Kaya Scodelario Is Engaged To Meryl Streep’s Ex-Son-In-Law
While Kaya Scodelario (of Skins fame) and her boyfriend Benjamin Walker have yet to confirm it, all signs are pointing towards an engagement for the happy couple. A source tells Us Weekly, “They’re very happy. Everyone is thrilled for them. They fell head over heels for each other.” A post on the actress’ Instagram also hints at a possible engagement between the two. The picture shows her and Walker kissing in front of a rock formation. The photo was captioned, “@findthewalker thank you for making me the happiest woman in the world.” She’s wearing what appears to be an engagement ring.
Diamond expert Lewis Malka tells Mail Online, “Kaya is sporting a lovely solitaire engagement ring which appears to be around the two carat size. It looks like a traditional set ring with just the one diamond, and is worth somewhere in the region of £30,000. This is a piece to be cherished forever.”

Scodelario, 22, met the 32-year-old Walker on the set of The Moon and the Sun. They have been dating for a couple of months now, and they have been extremely happy despite the distance between them early on in their relationship — but it seems they are now ready to settle down. They recently bought a place together, and in another post on Scodelario’s Instagram, they even toured her mom around their new house.
Prior to moving in together, Scodelario opted to stay in London while Walker moved to the U.S. She has since moved to America to start a new life with her boyfriend/fiancé. It was a good career move as well, with Scodelario starring in the Hollywood film The Maze Runner quite recently.
Walker used to be married to Meryl Streep’s daughter Mamie Gummer, but he filed for divorce just two years after their wedding. However, the split was “very amicable,” according to reports.
Kaya launched her career when she starred as Effy Stonem in the U.K. hit show Skins. She was only 14 years old and had no prior acting experience at the time. While she played a supporting character during the first series, her role eventually grew as some of her co-stars left the show. This makes her the only cast member to appear from Series 1 to Series 4. She left the show after the fourth season, but she appeared in one of the episodes of the show’s final series, with the episode focusing on her character’s adult life.
