Victoria’s Secret Taps Behati Prinsloo As Cover Girl For 2015 Swim Issue

Well, this should warm up these upcoming cold winter nights.

People is reporting that Victoria’s Secret has named South African model Behati Prinsloo as the cover girl for the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Swim issue, due out January 2. Prinsloo recalls the modeling session, which took place in Hawaii, and of the cover bikini, a two-piece one-shoulder triangle top with double-strap bottoms.

“It was that magical time of day just before sunset in Hawaii, I remember it being so beautiful,” Prinsloo told People of her shoot with fashion photographer Greg Kadel. “I also love how sexy and different that bikini is. Everyone needs this bikini. You’ll turn some heads on the beach.”

The above bikini is part of the new 2015 “Very Sexy” line, which is also incorporating new neoprene sporty looks, macrame, and fringe to capture the “boho” look, as well as tassels to give the bikinis the feminine, “girly touch.”

Prinsloo is certain to add to her extensive bikini collection, though by her own admission, it’s a moot point.

“I don’t remember the very first one I bought. I kind of grew up on a beach so it was always around. And I’m a total bikini hoarder — it’s a little embarrassing how many bikinis I own, and that I only wear the same two bikinis always.”

Prinsloo’s workout routine didn’t change, as she claims she tries to live as healthy and clean as possible, all the time. She credits yoga with Chad Dennis and training with Harley Pasternak to keep her model figure.

The Victoria’s Secret model said she thoroughly enjoyed her Hawaiian adventures, including one tender, heartfelt moment.

“A lot of people went on a paddle out to honor someone’s life that passed away,” she shared. “And it was so magical we all had tears in our eyes. I was very touched to see that.”

Bustle is reporting that the first person she told was her husband, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine. The couple married earlier this year. Prinsloo also opened the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show held in London. Prinsloo shared that honor with other models like Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum.

“It was such a huge honor and personal accomplishment, that was for sure the highlight for me,” she said. “And of course sharing the runway with Taylor Swift and Hozier was amazing.”

Prinsloo has become one of the more popular models because of her relatability and her easy-going style. People see her as genuine, which came through when she was surprised by receiving the cover and the fashion show. Prinsloo has begun her Victoria’s Secret career in fine fashion.
