Hilarious Video Of Dads Dancing To Bruno Mars’ ‘Uptown Funk’ [Video]

“Uptown Funk” is a great song, and we all love goofy dad dancing, so what could be better than putting the two of them together? These dads are no Bruno Mars, but they certainly are just as entertaining.

Remember when you were a kid and your dad would embarrass you at a school dance or after a few beers at the family reunion with that goofy dancing only dads can do? If not, maybe your dad could actually dance, or never chose to embarrass you by doing it in public. In that case, Tastefully Offensive has put together a compilation of very bad dad dancing set to the Bruno Mars hit “Uptown Funk” to let you experience what the rest of us went through.

If your dad is a bad dancer, this video will take you back to the days when you just wanted to fade into the background and pretend you didn’t know that guy trying to pull off those dance moves from 20 years ago. Or worse, making up some of his own.

That’s not to say that some of these dads don’t have it going on — the silver-haired guy in the Christmas sweater at the 1:13 mark has some moves that men half his age would envy — but most of them are just awkward and hilarious. And several of them are, to put it kindly, “rhythm impaired.”

Of course, when we get a little older, we learn to appreciate dad dancing, and may even go on to embarrass our own kids with our silly moves.

Dads, don’t worry. We love you in all your bad dancing glory, and nobody really expects you to be Bruno Mars on the dance floor. Those of us lucky enough to still have you around are just glad to see you out there.

If you’re new to dad dancing, uncomfortable dancing in public, or just need some tips on the classic moves, Jimmy Fallon and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie got together on the Tonight Show earlier this year to document the evolution of dad dancing, so maybe you can get a few tips for your next party from them. Just remember — someone is going to be around with a camera phone, and there will be recordings.

Bruno Mars’ music has inspired quite a few people, and not just to dance. This charming marriage proposal in Times Square that the Inquisitr reported recently was set to Mars’ hit “Marry You.”
