Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Yolanda Foster was reportedly hospitalized, struggling with a “very serious relapse” having to do with her Lyme disease condition.
Radar Online reveals that Yolanda has been undergoing treatment after her illness took hold of her again.
A source speaking with the celebrity news source tells them that the RHOBH star was “hospitalized several days ago after suffering a very serious relapse of Lyme disease.”
The insider adds that friends and family are worried about Yolanda more than ever. The insider says that in spite of the setback, she’s done well overall.
“This is a very, very serious disease, and Yolanda has been such a trooper dealing with it. All Yolanda wanted was to be home for Christmas, which has happened. The problem with Yolanda’s diagnosis of Lyme disease was that it was so advanced by the time she was finally diagnosed.”
Fortunately for Yolanda, she has a great support system with her family. Her husband, David Foster, and daughters, Gigi and Bella, have been by her side during the setback. David has been extremely supportive of his wife during her difficult time, but she worries about him to the degree that it doesn’t seem like she’s the one who’s sick.
The source says Yolanda Foster dealt with Lyme disease two years before she was properly diagnosed, which gave the disease enough time to do some damage to her system. It’s still a mystery as to how the former model and Real Housewives star contracted the disease.
“You will never hear her complain about it, and Yolanda is determined to beat it,” the source says.
Yolanda appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Tuesday night. She didn’t want to disappoint him by cancelling her guest spot, so she showed up and filmed the segment.
“I am battling a relapse but wanted to keep my commitment 2 [Andy Cohen] … Was checked into hospital next morning but home now,” Yolanda tweeted.
Yolanda was hospitalized at Saint John’s Hospital. She and David had dinners together in her hospital room and family visited her frequently.
There have been times when Yolanda made hospital visits that aired on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . A doting David Foster looked after his wife and Yolanda was heard saying that that’s when you know who really cares about you.
In other RHOBH news, Yolanda Foster is reported as saying in Us Weekly that her friendship with fellow cast member, Brandi Glanville, is a lot like being friends with a dog that misbehaves; you don’t kick them to the curb. She says, “you keep trying.”
Yolanda Foster is now at home resting comfortably and recovering from the Lyme disease relapse.
