Niall Horan’s Underwear Dance Makes Directioners Swoon: Watch Entire NBC One Direction Documentary [Video]
Niall Horan’s topless underwear dance wasn’t enough to make One Direction’s TV documentary a big holiday hit.
According to TV Line, One Direction: The TV Special lost Tuesday night’s ratings race to two reruns of Christmas cartoons: Shrek the Halls and Toy Story that Time Forgot. Perhaps teen girls had trouble convincing their family members to tune in to something that only they would be interested in.
NBC could have offered a bigger incentive for Directioners to fight for their right to watch 1D. The documentary included footage of Niall Horan dancing around in his underwear, and NBC failed miserably by not using this to promote the special.
According to Gossip Cop, the special featured a scene that showed Niall Horan rocking his tighty-whities while he and Zayn Malik harmonized in a hotel room. You can check out Niall Horan’s holly jolly underwear dance below — it’s the best Christmas gift a Directioner could ask for.
Unfortunately, Horan didn’t rock the special briefs that Ellen DeGeneres gifted him with during One Direction’s November appearance on her talk show.

Unsurprisingly, the footage of a shirtless, underwear-clad Niall singing “Steal My Girl” was a big hit on social media — fans laughed, cried, got possessed by demons, changed religions, and declared the documentary clip a Christmas miracle. They also used photos to express their feelings.

Niall Horan doesn’t just dance around in his underwear when he’s singing One Direction songs — he also loves to rock his tighty-whities will rocking out to Taylor Swift. When Entertainment Tonight asked Niall which song he loves to listen to while recreating Tom Cruise’s most famous Risky Business scene, he revealed that he shakes what his momma gave him to Swift’s “Shake It Off.”
“That’s controversial,” Liam Payne said after hearing his band mate’s answer.
Liam’s response was a reference to Taylor Swift’s failed relationship with band mate Harry Styles. However, Styles probably doesn’t mind that Niall is a fan of his ex. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Taylor and Harry have recovered from their breakup and are now friends.
Niall Horan’s viral underwear video wasn’t his only charitable Christmas act. According to Hollywood Life, he decided to give back during the holidays by visiting a children’s hospital in Dublin. Crumlin Hospital posted a sweet thank you message to Niall on its Facebook page.
“For our patients it was a dream come true to meet the one and only Niall Horan today. We’d like to say a huge thank you to Niall for visiting Crumlin Hospital and for putting huge smiles on all our patient’s faces. You’ve really made this a Christmas to be remembered.”
