These Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez Breakup Claims Win All The Awards
Justin Bieber’s much-hyped “powers” over Selena Gomez now apparently extend to being in two continents at once.
A new report from US Weekly magazine claims the “Beauty and A Beat” singer attempted to make his ex-girlfriend jealous by “crashing” a party the actress-singer was at “just days” after they broke up.
“He was flirting in front of her, doing everything he could to make her jealous,” an alleged source told the magazine. “He called her, crying and apologizing, but she wouldn’t budge.”
US Weekly claim Bieber’s alleged shenanigans took place just days after he and Selena broke up, following their brief trip to Paris Fashion Week at the end of September.
As previously reported, Gomez flew back to the U.S. from Paris on October 1. Reasons for her departure remain unclear. Tabloid claims that Kendall Jenner was behind Jelena’s split were denied by the model in a subsequent Nightline interview, in which she said the Biebs was a “longtime friend of the family.”
But back to US Weekly’s claim.
The biggest “duh?” moment? The story’s timeline. It doesn’t add up.
In reality, Bieber stayed on in Europe for nearly two weeks with his father, Jeremy, after Selena returned to the states.
The Canadian arrived back in U.S. on October 12. Two days later, he threw a party at his Beverly Hills condo penthouse on October 14, as TMZ and multiple outlets reported at the time. Days later he was spotted in New Jersey, New York, to begin an approximately two-week stay with long-standing pal, Pastor Carl Lentz of the Hillsong NYC Church.
Given that Bieber is tracked constantly by paparazzi around the world, it’s unrealistic that there are no sightings of him crashing a party that Selena allegedly attended if he did go to such a bash.
All of which strongly suggests Us Weekly’s story is fabricated. It wouldn’t be the first time.
Earlier this month, the magazine claimed Selena “cried and threw a fit” during BFF Taylor Swift’s star-studded 25th birthday party at her New York City pad on December 17.
However, the starlet’s rep told E! “Selena had the best time at Taylor’s birthday party.”
Moving on to another unsubstantiated claim. A recent headline at Hollywood Life, “Hailey Baldwin Buys Justin Bieber Cartier Love Bracelet For Christmas?” is based on a comment that Baldwin model left at the singer’s Instagram page.
On December 23, Bieber posted a partial picture of himself wearing an expensive Cartier bracelet and a Juste un Clou bracelet.
Hailey commented on the snap, writing, “glad to see the bracelet is not broken.”
Somehow the gossip site concluded that Hailey bought the bling for Bieber, even though her caption indicates nothing of the sort and the longtime pals have both denied they are dating each other.
