NeNe Leakes Drops Bomb About Her ‘RHOA’ Co-Stars: ‘The Hate Is Real’
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes has been working hard on building her career away from the popular Bravo show. And NeNe has been filming Glee and The New Normal in Hollywood, which has helped establish her as an actor. Many will argue that it was Leakes’ roles on these shows that landed her a role on Broadway. She is currently the wicked stepmother in the Broadway production of Cinderella.
And while NeNe Leakes has been working hard to establish a name for herself, she hasn’t been getting much support. It makes sense that Cynthia Bailey isn’t jumping on a plane to go see Leakes given their friendship state as this moment, but Leakes has other information to share. None of her Atlanta co-stars have been in New York to support NeNe.
According to a new Bravo report, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes believes that her co-stars truly hate the success she has experienced since being on Broadway. But this wasn’t just given to her. NeNe had to put in hours of work to make sure her performance was top notch.
“I love it. I really really love it,” NeNe Leakes said of being on Broadway, adding, “I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I love it and I don’t say that about a lot of stuff.”
When asked if the ladies had been there to support her, NeNe had an interesting answer. She pointed out that she had attended launch parties for both Kandi Burruss and Cynthia Bailey in the past, and has been a constant source of support for Porsha while she was going through her divorce. Leakes doesn’t understand what changed, since the ladies are not fully supporting her.
“I don’t know any other way to say it, except the hate is real. The hate is really real. We have our differences, but in some big instances I’d be there to support,” NeNe explains.
But that doesn’t mean that she is completely alone on Broadway. Other housewives have come by to watch her perform. Melissa Gorga and Kathy Wakile from The Real Housewives of New Jersey have stopped by. Last week, Vicki Gunvalson from The Real Housewives of OrangeCounty came by with Brooks Ayers, and Jill Zarin and Kristen Taekman from The Real Housewives of New York have seen the show. Vicki’s guest visit was covered by the Inquisitr. As for Atlanta, Porsha Williams and Phaedra Parks have said they wanted to come see the play, but nothing has happened thus far.
