Princess Charlene In Love: New Twins Jacques And Gabriella Spark Magical Changes For Monaco Royal
Princess Charlene’s in love with her newborn twins, Jacques and Gabriella, the first-time mom says. Charlene and her husband, Prince Albert II, welcomed the twins on December 10, though they are still hospitalized due to being born a bit early. It’s clear that though she is overwhelmed with emotion at the twins’ birth, she is head-over-heels in love already.
Paris Match shares that Monaco’s Princess Charlene is in love with the new little ones, and the royals hope to have the twins home before Christmas. Jacques and Gabriella were born about two weeks early via cesarean, and though they are doing well, they still need to gain a bit of weight. Princess Charlene says she was happy to hear their first cries, and she was a bit overwhelmed with emotion over it.
The Monaco royal says that every second with them is magical and life-changing. It is expected that the twins will be formally presented to the Monegasque people on January 7, though curious fans may get a peek at them a bit earlier from the sounds of things. It seems the babies may make a public debut in the coming week, with the more official presentation coming in January.
Despite being born early and a bit small, Jacques and Gabriella are said to be active and expressive, and naturally Princess Charlene says they are beautiful and adorable. As the Daily Mail notes, the newest royals of Monaco Princess Gabriella Therese Marie and Prince Jacques Honore Rainier were born at the Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco.
Princess Charlene and Prince Albert II have noted that they feel a huge sense of responsibility with the twins, and she says a very strong protective instinct has been born as well. She already feels a strong bond with the babies and she feels she has an exciting mission ahead in raising them. She says she and her husband will give the best of themselves to do well with guiding the children and imparting their values.
As the Sydney Morning Herald notes, Princess Gabriella was born first, with Prince Jacques born two minutes later. Though Prince Albert II does have two older children from prior relationships, it is Prince Jacques who is next in line for the Monaco throne now after his father. Because Prince Albert II’s older children, Jazmin, 22, and Alexandre, 11, were born outside of marriage, they cannot claim royal titles.
Charlene, 36, a former Olympic swimmer from Zimbabwe, and Albert, 56, married in 2011 in the midst of headlines detailing trouble in their relationship. The new royals will have the titles of Marquis of Baux for Prince Jacques and Countess of Carlades for Princess Gabriella. Despite the earlier challenges in Charlene and Albert’s relationship, it’s easy to see from the new interview that Princess Charlene is in love with her new twins, and fans can’t wait to see them presented publicly.
