Michael Jackson’s Hair to be Turned into Roulette Ball
No, that isn’t a bizarre typo – the late Michael Jackson’s follicles really will be rolling around a roulette table near you … SOON.
Onlinegamblingpal.com is a gambling website that earlier this year bought up a chunk of Jackson’s hair for $10,871. Now the site plans to convert it into a roulette ball. A tad ghoulish, much?
But hey, it’s supposedly all true. A story on the site now reads, “Together, we can ensure Michael Jackson continues to rock and ‘ROLL’ forever.” People have been shot for better puns that, I’m sure.
As creepy as the plans for Jacko’s hair are, even creepier is how it was acquired by the original sellers – apparently, a hair sample was collected from the Carlyle Hotel in New York after the pop icon stayed there. Ewww.
Onlinegamblingpal.com is confident the ball will be suitable for use at all roulette tables, because that’s definitely the detail in this publicity exercise I was most concerned about:
“The ball itself will be made to the highest professional standards, ensuring it will be eligible for use at any licensed casino’s roulette table. Indeed, considering Jackson dedicated his life to entertaining millions, the prospect of this very special ball captivating crowds at roulette tables seems like a fitting use for it.”
And lo, the connection is suddenly crystal-clear.
