Mom Dead In Fridge: Arrest Made After Mom Murdered, Missing Baby Found
A mom found dead in a fridge in Houston, Texas, may have been murdered by the child’s father. According to NewsOXY, Patrick Lambert was arrested four days after Anastacia Oalikhena Lambert, the mother of his 11-month-old child, was found inside a refrigerator in the couple’s apartment. Mr. Lambert apparently fled to Mexico with the child, but was picked up by Mexican authorities on Friday.
Lambert has been identified as a suspect in the death of Anastacia, but was taken into custody for taking the child. Police believe that Lambert may have killed his wife before leaving the country, but have yet to charge him with her murder. Friends of Lambert say that he had been talking about leaving town a couple of weeks ago, but never put two and two together.
The mom found dead in the fridge had been stabbed. According to the Canada Journal, a maintenance worker went inside the family’s apartment on Monday after smelling a terrible odor. The worker ended up finding the woman’s body inside the fridge, and immediately called authorities. Based on the preliminary investigation, police say that the woman may have been in the fridge for as long as three weeks.
Sadly, there were serious signs that Patrick and Anastascia had been having problems.
“Police say Lambert called 911 two months ago to report that her husband was threatening her with a knife. Officers went to the apartment that day but no charges were ever filed,” reports NewsOxy.
This threat turned out to be something far more serious than a domestic dispute. It is unknown why Anastascia didn’t press charges.
The mom found dead in the fridge was just 27-years-old. If Patrick Lambert did kill Anastacia, his motive is unknown. Lambert likely thought that taking his baby to Mexico would prevent him from getting caught, but his plan didn’t work out. Many believe that the child is lucky to even be alive.
There have been quite a few cases of family murders, and many, sadly, involve the deaths of innocent children. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, an Alabama man named John DeBlase was recently convicted of capital murder after he and his common law wife were arrested for the deaths of their 5-year-old daughter Natalie and their 3-year-old son Chase. DeBlase is facing the death penalty for killing his kids using antifreeze and then strangling them. The children’s mother is due in court in March of 2015, and faces the same charges.
