Are Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin really not dating?

Despite the model’s very clear denial when E! News asked her that question last week, the topic has resurfaced after the longtime friends were spotted at the State Social House bar and eatery in West Hollywood, California, on Friday.

In paparazzi-obtained footage, Justin and Hailey are seen standing in a private, first floor room, with at least one other person with them. There appears to be either a standard or pool table in the center and a giant TV screen mounted on the wall.

X17Online.com — the paparazzi outfit which shot the video — said of their interaction,

“Bieber motioned to Hailey to get her to dance with him, and when they were chatting in front of the window, we noticed that the Biebs was biting his lip as he talked to her.”

The site added, “He really knows how to put on the moves!”

But, although that all sounds like something out of Fifty Shades Of Grey, that description is laughable.

Bieber and Hailey are seen mostly in shadow in both the video and photos linked at X17’s website. From the distance of the paparazzi outside (whose vantage point is seen during the clip), the lensmen would not have been able to clearly see details like facial features.

Take a look at the video below and tell us if you think the pals were on a date, or if the Biebs is “biting his lip.”

X17 noted the famous friends arrived at the bar in Justin’s red Ferrari, with one of singer’s bodyguards reportedly going into the venue before them to presumably check the private room was ready.

But, like all tabloids, X17 is not above embellishing – as the record shows. The site claims a paparazzo on the scene was literate enough to come up with the following gem:

“Justin and Hailey were definitely on a date. He was in a great mood, dancing, drinking — flirting with Hailey. She seems kind of shy, which may be one reason Bieber likes her. He’s used to girls throwing themselves at him and she’s just low key. She’s kinda like one of the boys — but hot!”

So insightful.

For her part, Hailey appeared to answer the not so pleasant comments some fans wrote at her Instagram page.

On Saturday, she tweeted, “If people paid closer attention to the things they were trying to solve, they would answer a lot of their own questions.”

A few hours later she added, “And I say the same thing every single timeeeee,” which may or may not have been a response to a fan query about her relationship with Justin.

As to the resurfaced question of whether the model and the “Confident” singer’s friendship has developed into a romance, or rebound scenario after his breakup from Selena Gomez, previously Hailey told E!:

“I’ve known him since I was so young — since I was like 13 — and we’ve just been good friends over the years. We have just stayed close and there’s nothing more to it than that.”

Nevertheless, following their hang in New York and Los Angeles just after thanksgiving — which included a visit to an arcade, shopping trips, dinners and attending the Los Angeles Clippers game — Hailey visited an L.A. recording studio with Justin on Thursday during a late session following her return from NYC.

The newly-dyed platinum blonde singer posted a Shots pic with the equally blonde model that same night, (Dec 11), captioned, “Bounce, bounce, bounce.”

Fans waiting outside filmed the pair when they eventually left the studio.

Roll to Saturday, Hailey and Justin were seen walking around L.A’s Runyon Canyon Park.

Both were dressed casually, with the Biebs going shirtless.

Later, eyewitnesses saw Justin and Hailey at an L.A. recording studio. Some of these took to Twitter to share messages about their encounter.

For reasons only they are aware of, the pair are spending a lot of time together. But as this is something both friends and lovers do, the jury’s out on whether the Biebs and Hailey are actually dating.

Justin posted an Instagram pic of himself leaning on a mixing/recording desk on Saturday (Dec. 13), which he captioned: “studio.”

“Look at Forbes,” the singer wrote by a later snap, before deleting the caption.
