Cristiano Ronaldo Thanks His Madrid Teammates With Personalized Designer Watches

Cristiano Ronaldo has thanked his Real Madrid teammates, his second family, for their support throughout the last season by generously handing them personalized Bulgari watches worth upwards of $10,000.

The Bulgari watches were inscribed with each of the player’s names as well as Ronaldo’s trademarked signature “CR7” and the words “La Decima,” commemorating Real Madrid’s 10th European Cup win last May.

One of the beneficiaries of Cristiano’s generosity, Real Madrid right-back Alvaro Arbeloa, tweeted his gratitude with a picture of himself, Ronaldo, and the watch.

On Friday, Real Madrid kept up their winning streak at Almeria, where Cristiano Ronaldo continued his impressive form by netting twice in the late stages of the matches.

Ronaldo has now remarkably scored 25 goals in 14 La Liga games this season (having missed one match). If the Portuguese forward keeps up that scoring rate, he will hit 66 league goals this season.

Cristiano Ronaldo has now equalled the best tally of any player after 15 games of a Spanish top flight campaign, and is only four goals away from bettering Lionel Messi’s record for goals half way through a season.

The form has prompted Real Madrid legend Raul to claim that Ronaldo could be the greatest player of all time.

“I think now he is at the top, and if continues the same way, he could be the best of all time,” Raul, 37, told the BBC World Football show.

“I think Cristiano and Lionel Messi are two of the best players in the history of the game. Are they better than Pele or Diego Maradona? They are at the top, but I think it is difficult in football to say who is first or second or third. But if Cristiano continues for five years…”

Cristiano Ronaldo is the overwhelming favorite to beat out his Argentine rival, Messi, and the outstanding German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer for the FIFA Ballon d’Or.
