WWE News: The Undertaker Wrestling Bray Wyatt At WrestleMania 31?
The headline may shock the WWE Universe all at once, but we’ll get to that a little further down. Anytime Sting and the Undertaker are mentioned in the same sentence, along with WrestleMania 31, the WWE fans collectively gasp for air while hoping they are involved in the “Dream Match.” For years now, WWE fans all around the world want Sting to face the Undertaker at WrestleMania.
Sting is finally signed to a performer’s contract with WWE, which will give him the opportunity to wrestle the Deadman. That was the first step in the process. The only thing to do now is to book them in a great feud before WrestleMania 31, which will be the most-anticipated match in WWE history.
A few weeks ago, a report came out that nearly guaranteed Sting and the Undertaker would not wrestle each other at WrestleMania 31. To add more fuel to the fire, WrestleZone is now reporting that a new challenger will face the Undertaker at WrestleMania 31, and it’s a name that will shock the masses.
“As of now, The Wrestling Observer is reporting The Undertaker is scheduled to face Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania, assuming The Undertaker is healthy enough to compete at the PPV.
There is also a possibility that The Undertaker could be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015 should WrestleMania 31 be his final in-ring appearance. There has been talk for years that Undertaker would be inducted into the Hall of Fame following WrestleMania 32, which takes place Cowboys Stadium and is expected to set an all-time attendance record.”
Thinking about that logically, it makes absolutely no sense. Why would the WWE have Sting and the Undertaker on the same card, but yet not have them wrestle each other? It is the match that everyone has wanted to see for many years. If the Undertaker were still undefeated, feeding Bray Wyatt to the Phenom would make perfect sense. He’s a sadistic heel that can get in the mind of the Undertaker.
Just like CM Punk with the urn and the death of Paul Bearer, Punk became the perfect heel during that feud. He was alerted the top heel in the company, but when a WWE superstar brings reality into the picture, the stakes are raised exponentially. For Wyatt to face the Undertaker at WrestleMania 31 isn’t the wise move for the WWE. Sting needs to be facing Taker.
Sting is in top shape for a man in his 50s. He has the ability to wrestle more than one match for the WWE. He won’t simply wrestle Triple H at Mania and then leave. Likely, he will wrestle another match before he officially retires from in-ring competition. Vince McMahon is a multi-millionaire for a reason. He built the top professional wrestling company in the world’s history. Sting vs. Undertaker is a match they cannot afford to not put on.
