Chris Harrison Says Prince Farming Is ‘Overwhelmed’ By Women: Small Town ‘Bachelor’ Meets Virgin, Playboy Model
The Bachelor host Chris Harrison says ABC’s new leading man Chris Soules — aka “Prince Farming” — is really easy to work with, but was totally overwhelmed when he met the 30 women who were cast to date him on the network’s popular reality show.
After hosting 19 seasons of The Bachelor, Harrison tells Buddy TV that Soules was “overwhelmed” the night the ladies stepped out of their limos. He likened the farmer to a “kid in a candy store.”
“I never really thought about what a population of that size meant in terms of Chris’ prospects until I saw how he reacted on night one. He was like a kid in a candy store. Chris was so overwhelmed and blown away by the women that it was endearing.”
Filming for the season just wrapped up and the premiere is less than a month away (January 5). Harrison was quick to reveal which of the women fans should keep an eye on — including Ashley, a “self-proclaimed virgin” and a woman named Jade, who The Inquisitr previously reported is a Playboy model with a criminal past.
Season 19 will feature 30 women instead of the usual 25, giving Soules more of an opportunity to meet the woman of his dreams and weed out those who just don’t fit his small-town lifestyle. Chris hails from Arlington, Iowa — population 416, according to the U.S. Census Bureau — so it’s not surprising that he was taken aback by the crowd of women who surrounded him on the first night. Hopefully they all came on the show for the right reasons, but most fans know that never happens.

Reality Steve reports that Season 19 of The Bachelor was filmed entirely in the U.S., except for the overnight dates that were taped in Bali. While there was some chatter that ABC was going low-budget and staying in the country after the disastrous season they had with Juan Pablo, Chris Harrison states that the decision to stay local was to help Prince Farming pick someone who would fit into his lifestyle.
“There’s camping and rafting, and some of these girls aren’t quite equipped for his lifestyle. But it was important for him to see who didn’t take to it so he could make better decisions about who to send home.”
Of course, there are already spoilers circulating online that reveal the name of the woman who supposedly wins the handsome farmer’s heart. If the rumors are true, Bachelor Chris Soules did not pick the virgin or the Playboy model, but he is supposedly engaged to a woman who confessed to watching the show since she was in high school.
Can’t wait to find out who Prince Farming picks? Tune in to watch the premiere of The Bachelor on January 5, 2015 starting at 8 p.m. on ABC.
