‘Dancing With The Stars’ News: Fates Of Len Goodman, Julianne Hough, Cheryl Burke Revealed
Dancing with the Stars is going to have some changes in Season 20. There have been some rumors about who is going to be returning, and who is going to be leaving the show, and the three names in question have been veteran judge Len Goodman, former pro and new judge Julianne Hough, and longtime pro Cheryl Burke. According to the Wrap, one of those people will not be returning to the show, but the other two will indeed be back for another season.
“Cheryl has been on the show for close to 10 years. She has done a great service to the show and I think she feels that it’s time for her to move on,” said DWTS executive producer Rob Wade, confirming that Cheryl Burke will not be dancing next season.
Dancing with the Stars wouldn’t be the same without the original judges (Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli), so fans will be thrilled to know that Len Goodman is not going anywhere, at least not yet.
“A judging panel isn’t about individuals. It’s about chemistry. That has happened remarkably quickly for Julianne in that role. I couldn’t be happier,” Wade added, confirmed that both Len Goodman and Julianne Hough will be back for Season 20.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Goodman had been talking about walking away from the show during Season 18, and while he took a bit of time off during Season 19, Wade said that Goodman would be back “full time” in 2015.
Julianne Hough will also be sticking around, as she is under contract for Season 20. She was a new addition this year, and while a lot of people didn’t like having four judges on the panel, many felt as though Julianne fit right in.
Dancing with the Stars will return in March, according to Enstarz. So far, there have not been any casting rumors, but those will likely start sometime after the first of the year. There will likely be an athlete, a reality star, and an actor among the “stars.”
So far, there has not been any other word on who might be returning next season. Of course, many expect to see Derek Hough, Mark Ballas, and Val Chmerkovskiy among the guys. As for the ladies, Peta Murgatroyd, Sharna Burgess, and Emma Slater will more than likely be competing for the Mirrorball Trophy. Who is your favorite dance pro?
