Teammate Blasts Robert Griffin III: Anonymous Player Speaks Out On QB [Update]
A teammate has blasted Robert Griffin III, and now the comments are making big news. The player, who has spoken out anonymously to TMZ, said a few things that revealed just how the members of the Washington Redskins team feel about their quarterback’s performance on the football field. The unnamed player’s comments are now causing quite the reaction.
Robert Griffin III’s performance on the football field has led to the Redskins putting him on the bench. Colt McCoy is now the starting quarterback for the team.
What did one of his teammates have to say about RGIII’s performance? His performance is so bad that the player does not even see Griffin remaining in the NFL.
“No one is happy… no one gets the hype around him anymore. He’s secluded and it affects us in the game. We don’t have that real rapport. He’s lost confidence and is complacent now.”
The teammate went on to joke that Griffin might have a future in politics because he is “good at that kind of thing.”
This anonymous teammate is not the only person to comment on Griffin’s performance on the football field. Fran Tarkenton spoke out about the Griffin situation in an interview with The MMQB. Tarkenton did not have much nice to say about the situation.
“He is a terrible passer, has no accuracy, he doesn’t understand the offense, he doesn’t read defenses, and he has no discipline. When he is supposed to take a three-yard drop, he takes a one-yard drop; if he is supposed to take a five-yard drop, it’s a three-yard drop. There’s no discipline and understanding of the defense because he is a pontificator. He will never make it. He will be out of football. He will be in the same graveyard as JaMarcus Russell and Vince Young.”
Football fans are also making their opinions about RGIII known on social media.
Never been an RGIII fan since he got the heisman in ’11 and i didnt agree with that. And now the world is seeing it.

Two #NFL head coaches couldn’t make it work with RGIII on a personal level. That says more about the quarterback than the coaches.

Does Robert Griffin III have a future in the NFL? It might not be with the Washington Redskins. The Inquisitr reported recently that Gruden wants to cut ties with Griffin. He is still with the team as of right now, but that could change in the off-season. ESPN looked at Griffin’s options for a new home, according to NJ.com. They named the Philadelphia Eagles as a good fit for the poor performing Griffin.
“Given the way Nick Foles has played this season, and Mark Sanchez’s expiring contract, the Eagles would have to look very hard at acquiring Griffin. Coach Chip Kelly’s offense would be a perfect fit for Griffin’s skill set, and Kelly himself would be just the guy to restore Griffin’s confidence.”
The football season is not over yet. However, Griffin’s season might be over already. What do you think of the comments made by Robert Griffin’s teammate? Should the player have spoken out?
UPDATE: Robert Griffin III was brought in in Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams after McCoy was injured. McCoy was taken out of the game with three minutes left in the game. During this outing, he was three for four in completion attempts. He had 33 yards with an average of 8.3 yards per pass. The Rams defense was only able to sack him once.
According to SB Nation, Griffin might still have a future with the Redskins, and he might see more play time in the weeks ahead if McCoy has more neck strain issues.
