Rosie O’Donnell announced to fans that four years after the end of her last marriage, the OWN talk show host is engaged again.
O’Donnell- who married longtime partner and Nickelodeon executive Kelli Carpenter in 2004- split with her ex-wife in 2007. The couple had four children together, and both have remained hands-on moms to the kids. After the break up, O’Donnell was linked with Texas-based artist Tracy Kachtick-Anders, who she dated between 2007 and 2011. Kachtick-Anders and O’Donnell split in February, leaving the door open for Rosie to meet up with new girlfriend and fiance Michelle Rounds.
According to Access Hollywood, O’Donnell and Rounds met in a Starbucks, and first stepped out together at the Building Dreams For Kids Gala in New York City last September. The site says:
The rep told Access the two became engaged several weeks ago and will continue to split their time between New York City and Chicago, where Rosie films her Oprah Winfrey Network talk show, “The Rosie Show.”
O’Donnell took to Twitter to discuss her engagement with fans and friends, first clearing up the dissolution of her marriage to former partner Kelli Carpenter. O’Donnell tweeted:
her name is kelli and no we r not married – california nullified r marriage – we r both with other partners now – all ok
One friend tweeted to @Rosie:
In her Vh1 days, did @ Rosie ever think 1 day she could announce her same-sex engagement & it would make good showbiz news? Progress.
O’Donnell replied:
