Who Is Kelsey Poe Of ‘The Bachelor’ 2015 Season With Chris Soules?
The cast of ABC’s The Bachelor 2015 season has finally been released by the network, and many fans are taking notice of Kelsey Poe. Chris Soules has 30 ladies to choose from this season, but host Chris Harrison says that Kelsey is one to watch. What do fans need to know about her?
Kelsey Poe’s profile at ABC notes that she is a guidance counselor from Austin, Texas. Her favorite movies are Mean Girls, What About Bob? and Good Will Hunting, as she says they’re all great movies to psychoanalyze. Her ultimate date would revolve around doing something new to both her and her date in an outdoors and active environment.
What is it that made Chris Harrison think that Poe is one to watch this season on this Bachelor 2015 season? Of course, the fact that Kelsey is from Texas like Harrison is, helps. As he tells Yahoo! TV, she’s got a pretty amazing backstory. Kelsey was married once before, but her husband died of heart failure.
Poe is 28-years-old now, and Reality Steve’s spoilers reveal that she’s originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was married to a musician named Sanderson Poe, and it seems they met when she was 19. They got married when Kelsey was 23-years-old, and he died in May 2013.
Naturally the death of Kelsey’s husband made for some difficult times for the counselor. It seems that when Poe saw Soules on Andi Dorfman’s Bachelorette season she was drawn to him and thought it might be fate that she meet him and marry him.
This Bachelor contestant loved being married and knows she wants that again, but of course her backstory is a complicated one to explain on a show where things move so quickly like The Bachelor does. When does she tell Soules and how does he react? If she shares such heavy background too early, or too late, it could have a negative impact on her chance to stick around.
Kelsey’s profile says she can’t live without “Hope, love, optimism, creativity, chapstick” and the person she admires most in the world is her grandma Helen. Poe has a website she’s been working on, but it appears it won’t go live until the spring, probably after the Bachelor finale. So far it’s not known how long Kelsey Poe sticks around Chris Soules’ Bachelor season, but Reality Steve’s spoilers should break down those specifics soon.
Not as much is known about Poe at this point as is the case with some other season 19 bachelorettes, like Jade Roper for example. However, fans like what they see so far and they’re anxious to see more of Kelsey on-screen.
