Kate Hudson Shares Weight Loss Secrets, From Gluten-Free Diet To Pole-Dancing [Video]

Kate Hudson has been successful as a popular film actress for years. But when she revealed her incredibly toned and flexible body with a dance-centric role on Glee, Kate earned new fame for that sleek physique. Now she’s revealing all her weight loss secrets to Us Weekly magazine.

“You [have to] work your a** off. That is the only way,” summed up the 35-year-old actress.

Daughter of Goldie Hawn, Kate has developed a dedicated running routine. She also takes Pilates classes and is careful about her diet. She’s the mother of two young boys; Ryder, age 10, and Bingham, age 3.

“You can’t do two weeks and go and do two days, then take a week off, and be like, ‘Why aren’t I in shape?’ ” noted Kate.

When it comes to her food plan, a gluten-free diet plays a key role in maintaining her weight, Kate told Glamour magazine. She also is a fan of the juicing trend, which gives her a way to drink her greens.

I’m doing the best that I can. I believe in green juice, which is a lazy way of not eating the greens … I try to live by the basic rules, which is watch your sugar, watch your gluten.

Kate praised the new popularity of gluten-free diet products which she feels has made more options available. How tasty are these foods? Even her children like them, she noted.

“I try to buy most gluten free for the house, and they’re doing it so well now that it tastes good and the kids don’t even know it,” laughed Hudson.

How did Kate get into her Glee dancing groove? She’s been a fan of dance aerobics for years — and a bit of pole dancing.

“I like more dance, aerobic things. At one point I did the pole dancing – that was really amazing for the body,” Kate admits.

As the Inquisitr reported, Hudson joins Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez in recommending celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson’s workouts which combine lengthening, strengthening, and dance cardio.

“The things that I’ve seen the best for women have been anything that’s real dance, something that elongates, and really really strengthens,” said Kate. “So, Core Fusion, Tracy Anderson, Ballet Barre, Pilates, I think those things for women (are great) because they center on the core.”

Tracy also is known for her boot-camp style of dance aerobics, shown below.
