Pizza Hut And Doritos: If You Were Not Excited About The New Menu Yet, You Will Be Now

Doritos have been an American staple in snacks foods for more than 20 years now, and their popularity only seems to keep rising. Cool Ranch Doritos, Spicy Doritos, Cappuccino Doritos, Doritos Locos Tacos, and even Doritos Mtn’ Dew. So, what else could Doritos possibly be up to now?

Pizza Hut might have the answer to this. Pizza Hut, despite their decline in sales, have been coming up with some clever ideas that have included free pizzas and bacon and cheese stuffed crust.

So, what is the next advancement of Pizza Hut pizza and Doritos chips? Pizza Hut pizza with Doritos chips? Pizza Hut says “Yes.” That is at least according to Foodbeast. Just when you thought Fritos on pizza sounded interesting, as reported by Time magazine, Pizza Hut raised the stakes to not be outdone by Papa Johns.

According to Pizza Marketplace, Pizza Hut and Doritos have teamed up to bring you the “Doritos Crunchy Crust Pizza”. A news release from the mad scientists themselves, Pizza Hut, said they spent months developing the Doritos lined crust.

The only problem is that you will need to go “down under” if you wish to try this nacho cheese dream pizza, and also, it is for a limited time. So, that makes two problems. Pizza Hut’s head of marketing and design Fatima Syed describes the new Doritos crunchy crust pizza in the release, reports Pizza Marketplace.

“We’re so excited to launch the Doritos Crunchy Crust Pizza – it’s the kind of pizza that needs to not only be eaten, but heard to be believed. As you bite into the crust you’ll be blown away by the crunch – it’s not only seriously loud, but delicious. Why Doritos? Well it is a globally loved brand and they have the best corn chips to deliver the ultimate crunch. This exciting and undeniably fun new crust will wow all your senses, not just your taste buds.”

Presumably, the new “Flavor of Now” menu is responsible for these odd concoctions. Pizza Hut’s “Flavor Of Now” menu was part of the company’s reinvention and reboot that took place last month. The menu saw the likes of Honey Sriracha sauce and pretzel crusts. Apparently, Pizza Hut Australia is home to even more unusual creations, even before the Doritos crust announcement.

Hot dog or Cheeseburger stuffed crust pizza are some other unusual creations that have yet to make their away to the U.S.
