Selena Gomez Fangirls After Meeting Jennifer Aniston At ‘Cake’ Party: ‘Made My Entire Year’
Selena Gomez couldn’t hide her delight when she met fellow actress Jennifer Aniston on Friday night.
The Latina starlet, who is a major name in her own right, didn’t bother trying to play it cool when they met at a party held to celebrate the former Friends star’s latest film, Cake.
Instead, pictures show Selena, 22, chatting away with Jennifer, 45, as if they knew each other all their lives.
.
Both women wore stylish, black dresses to the Los Angeles party, which was hosted by Perrier-Jouet And Cinelou Films at the Chateau Marmont’s Bar, after a special screening of Cake by the Directors Guild Of America.
Clearly chuffed to meet her idol, Selena posted a snap of their bonding to her Instagram page, captioning it with a cute message about Jennifer.
The Rudderlesss star wrote: “I have not only been following her career as a fan since I was 8 and now get to watch her completely transform in her new movie CAKE, I have gotten to have real conversations with such a real heart, made my entire year. #cake #goseeit.”
Aniston has been receiving rave reviews and even Oscar buzz for her role in Cake.
Nutshelled, the film follows Claire (Jennifer), who suffers from long-term pain, who, after hallucinating about a member of her support group who committed suicide, embarks on a dubious relationship with the dead woman’s husband.
Apart from dating guys called Justin — one, currently; one, not so — Selena and Jennifer would have had plenty to talk about as Aniston’s Cake also stars William H. Macy and his wife, Felicity Huffman. The former directed and cast Gomez and Felicity in Rudderless.
Cake also features Sam Worthington, the always good value Anna Kendrick and Mamie Gummer — who is the daughter of Meryl Streep. The movie opens on limited release in the U.S. in December and extends nationwide and beyond in January 2015.

Earlier Friday, Selena swung by March Of Dimes’ luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles wearing the same stylish, long black dress she wore to the Cake bash.
March of Dimes is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health of mothers and babies.
Other names at the charity event included, Alyssa Milano, Hunger Games star, Elizabeth Banks, a pregnant Molly Sims and Jason Bateman.
In other Selena Gomez news, the former Disney star announced she will be locking down to studio life for the next four months recording the follow-up to her Greatest Hits For You compilation album.
The pop princess is currently riding a big wave of critical and commercial success with her Justin Bieber-inspired breakup epic, The Heart Wants What It Wants,” which she debuted live at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles last month.
The single is No. 6 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, and is her second Top 10 hit after peaking at the same position with “Come & Get It” last year.
In addition to on-going collaborations with singer-songwriter Sia, songwriting & production team Dreamlab, Selena revealed she is working with producer/DJ and Interscope Records labelmate, Zedd, in an Instagram reveal of the pair late Friday.
In the snap, which was tagged and captioned “@zedd,” Selena is seen standing opposite him staring into each other’s eyes with their arms crossed. It’s a pretty sparky shot.
Formal name, Anton Zaslavskim, the 25-year-old Russian-German native, is a classically trained musician who began playing the piano at the age of four and drums at twelve. He is a huge name in several musical genres, including electro, progressive house, dubstep and classical.
Zedd’s production and writing hits include, “Clarity” featuring Foxes, for which he bagged a Grammy award for Best Dance Recording at the 56th Grammy Awards.
He also co-wrote and produced Ariana Grande’s “Break Free,” which features on her latest album, My Everything. Previously, he remixed Lady Gaga’s track “Born This Way” for the special edition of her third studio album, Born This Way (2011).
The talented muso produced three songs on Gaga’s 2013 album, Artpop, and has worked with numerous artists and producers such as Skrillex, Bieber (Beauty and A Beat), Black Eyed Peas and others.
Zedd is also behind the single “Find You,” showcasing Matthew Koma and Miriam Bryant, and features on the soundtrack for the Young Adult film Divergent.
All in all, it sounds like Selena’s forthcoming album will be eclectic and very likely packed with hits.
