‘The Interview’ Sony Budget Leak: Spent On Coke, Weed, And Panties?

The continuation of the Sony leak has revealed top tiered salaries, anonymous comments about Adam Sandler’s horrible influence over the company’s content, and now the production costs on their latest film, The Interview.

It’s believed that The Interview’s upcoming release is the direct response to these Sony hacks. As it is North Korean officials aren’t pleased by the plot of the film, which sees a reporter (James Franco) and his producer (Seth Rogen) fly to North Korea with the intention to interview Kim Jong-un, until they are recruited by the CIA to kill North Korea’s dictator.

Early on, reps for North Korea’s officials released the following statement.

“The act of making and screening such a movie that portrays an attack on our top leadership… is a most wanton act of terror and act of war, and is absolutely intolerable.”

Despite threats by North Korea, Seth Rogen had a ball with the publicity of the film.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the new leak reveals that production behind The Interview allegedly spent $5,000 for a Kevin Federline cameo and $250 for a “table of weed, coke, pills, and panties.” In the end, production reportedly only spent $241 on the table of “goodies.”

The Sony leak started when Sony’s Annie and Oscar buzzed film Still Alice were leaked on the web, and then salaries of big wigs working at Sony were leaked. That was followed up with anonymous comments from disgruntled employees on how Sony should improve the content they give to audiences and nix Happy Madison, Adam Sandler’s production company, if they knew what was good for them.

In a memo to the staff, Sony chiefs Michael Lynton and Amy Pascal said, “The privacy and security of our employees are of real concern to us, and we are deeply saddened at this concerted effort to do damage to our company, undermine our morale, and discourage us.”

As of right now, Sony has hired a security research firm called Mandiant to investigate the ongoing hacks and breaches in the company’s system.

As for The Interview, the film is still being released on December 25, with Rogen and Franco participating in rounds of promotion.
