Paul Walker: Private Files Stolen From His Manager On Anniversary Of Death
Paul Walker’s former manager, Matt Luber, was robbed of numerous files linked to the late actor on the one-year anniversary of his death.
Radar Online reports that two women were filmed by surveillance cameras breaking into Luber Roklin Entertainment offices on November 30. Once they were inside, they proceeded to steal 18 Mac computers and multiple printers – adding up to an estimated value of more than $20,000.
By doing so, the report further states that they stole numerous files linked directly to Paul Walker himself – including personal emails, voice mail messages, private files, videos, and photos.
According to Radar, an inside source opened up about how Paul Walker’s former manager reacted to the robbery and its aftermath.
“[Matt Luber] was Paul’s manager and close friend for decades and he is absolutely devastated – not only did the computers have his entire life on there but, more importantly, all of the files on Walker’s life and death.”
The inside source claims that the office doors were actually left unlocked when the employees left for the Thanksgiving holiday, so the robbers did not have to worry about struggling to force their way into the building. However, their actions were recorded by security cameras located in the stairwell and the elevator.
Other sources claim that some people think it may have been an inside job since the security guard was reportedly sleeping on the job and did not see anything.
This is unfortunately not the first time that something belonging to Paul Walker has been stolen since his death.
Eighteen-year-old Jameson Brooks Witty was charged back in August for stealing a part of the car that Paul Walker was riding in when he died, a Porsche Carrera GT. The Los Angeles Times reported that Witty worked with his 26-year-old accomplice to steal the roof panel of the car after it had been loaded on a tow truck that carried the destroyed vehicle away from the crash site on the night of Paul Walker’s death.
According to an apologetic Instagram message posted by Jameson Witty, he intended on using the roof panel to create a memorial for his childhood idol.
“Paul [Walker] was a childhood idol to me and many. At the time I was not thinking about the consequences it could have, I never wanted it to be like this I wasn’t going to sell the piece to make a profit. Nobody in this world is perfect, we all make mistakes. Some bigger than others.”
Paul Walker’s final film, Furious 7, is scheduled to be released in theaters on April 3, 2015. The 40-year-old actor was on a brief break from filming the movie on the day of his life-ending, fiery car crash.
