Boko Haram Launch Takeover Attack On Bajoga, Gombe, People Trapped [Breaking]
Reports from Gombe State, say that Bajoga town is currently under attack by the feared terrorist group Boko Haram.
A Premium Times reporter has described sounds of gunshots and explosions as he interviewed a resident who had informed him about the attack.
“Sound of explosion and gunshots woke us up from sleep and we had to hurriedly leave to the outskirts of town where I am calling you from,” said the resident, who gave his name as Mr Sunday.
According to the Daily Trust, scared residents have told of how the insurgents arrived in 30 Hilux vans armed with weapons chanting Allahu Akbar. It is believed that Boko Haram have targeted schools, police stations and local government secretariat.

Residents are also reporting that female students from the Federal Government Girls College have fled to the bushes.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Boko Haram launched a new wave of bloody attacks in Nigeria on Monday, including a suicide bombing and an assault on a security facility.
The spokesperson for Gombe State Command of the Nigerian Police has not been able to be reached for comment at this time.
Update:
The Daily Trust is now reporting that Boko Haram have left the town after initially occupying buildings and preaching in the area. Residents told of how the insurgents carted away vehicles and motorbikes from Ashaka, where they had already looted dynamite last month.
