Selena Gomez’s New Year’s Resolution To Go ‘Cold Turkey’ From Justin Bieber: For Real?

Selena Gomez has allegedly decided she “wants nothing to do with” Justin Bieber and has made a New Year’s resolution to go “cold turkey” from her former boyfriend, according to an alleged source cited by Hollywood Life.

After Austin Mahone’s recent blast of the gossip site for false reporting, it’s probably best to take this latest Jelena “revelation” with a ton of salt, but this is what the “insider” had to say about starlet’s alleged state of mind.

“Selena has her New Year’s resolution intact. She wants nothing to do with Justin. She wants to do it cold turkey,” adding, “She wants music to be her 2015 obsession, it’s time to move on.”

The site then says that if the Biebs were to give his ex-girlfriend an engagement ring, it’s possible the actress-singer might reconsider her resolution to freeze him out. If you’re 12 or under, that line of inquiry that may sound remotely feasible.

All of the above has left us a little confused for the following reason. On Monday, Radar Online reported a source told the site “Justin and Selena still talk and text every day.”

Frankly, we’re not surprised to hear that seeing as Selena previously confirmed to Ryan Seacrest in an interview that she and the Biebs are close.

All things considered, it’s likely the former couple do still talk. Whether those conversations are always pleasant is another matter. But based on Selena’s latest, emotional single “The Heart Wants What It Wants,” that depth of feeling can’t be easy to switch off.

Meanwhile, everyone’s favorite Canadian has been spending a lot of time with pal Hailey Baldwin, which has set off a firestorm of speculation.

After celebrating the 18-year-old model’s recent birthday at a joint Los Angeles bash with singer Khalil, the 20-year-old singer hung out with Hailey and mutual friend Joe Termini in New York City after Thanksgiving.

“love you buds and love @laclippers,” the model captioned a pic of the trio dressed for an evening at the Clippers game.

All three then jetted back to L.A. on November 29 and were seen at Hillsong Los Angeles Church, a trip to Target and an arcade, which included Justin’s pal Ryan Good and a later jaunt to watch the Los Angeles Clippers’ face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday with others.

But it’s the latest pictures of Hailey and Justin allegedly showing the pretty blonde with her legs wrapped around the singer at a Los Angeles recording studio on Tuesday that’s really got the rumor mill going.

Although the pair have been friends for about five years, it had been thought the model is giving the singer emotional support after his October split from Selena.

Now, many are wondering if the old pals’ friendship has developed into a romance based on their numerous meets and most recent rendezvous at the recording studio.

Hailey allegedly “jumped into” Justin’s arms as they hugged at the studio. The “possible” couple were photographed through a glass doorway while a friend walked close by.

The two were reportedly seen at various spots in the morning before lunching at Spago, the celebrity favorite eatery in Beverly Hills run by Chef Wolfgang Puck.

“Yung jb in the game,” Hailey wrote by a pic of the Biebs some time before their trip to the Staples Center on December 1.

According to one of her tweets on Thursday, Hailey has returned to New York while the Biebs is still in L.A.

A non-captioned Instagram posted by Selena on the same day showing the starlet with an unreadable expression on her face possibly suggests her next texts to Justin — if they do still text, that is — may be full of questions.
