Madonna Confirms Super Bowl Halftime Show
It’s official Madonna will be performing at Super Bowl XLVI which will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana on Feb. 5.
To utilize the best performance possible for the Bridgestone halftime show Madonna has partnered with a Cirque du Soleil team, multimedia artists from Moment Factory and Jamie King who will all help create a “signature performance” for her show.
The official announcement was made during NBC’s Sunday Night Football game between the New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions.
The news comes just as Madonna preps to launch the follow-up album to 2008’s Hard Candy an event that was likely no coincidence. Madonna has also recently finished auditioning dancers for her buzzed-about world tour.
The pop star will precede last years horrendous appearance by the Black Eyed Peas and better performances by the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Prince and even the king of pop himself Michael Jackson.
Are you excited to see the 52-year-old singer take to the Super Bowl halftime stage in 2012?
