WWE News: Brock Lesnar Advertised For ‘Slammy Awards’ In Two Weeks?

The professional wrestling world was turned upside down when CM Punk finally came out and revealed many horrible things about the WWE. More specifically, he came out with the horrific things the WWE did to him. In any case, the WWE will move on, despite the crude reality he portrayed in the podcast with Colt Cabana. The timing will work in WWE’s favor because an important figure’s return is on the horizon.

This time of year for the WWE is crucial. Royal Rumble is in January, and WrestleMania 31 will take place in March next year. Before those events take place, the WWE needs to sell the supporting pay-per-views of their plans going into those blockbuster events.

A few high-profile stars are returning in the next month, but there is one man that will make a huge impact at an annual event. Paul Heyman’s “Beast Incarnate” is scheduled to come back sooner than originally thought.

WWE issued the following alert on the 2014 Slammy Awards:

“He’s coming! Find out which WWE Superstars and Divas will walk away with a coveted golden grappler when the 2014 Slammy Awards air LIVE on Raw at 8/7 CT on Dec. 8 on USA Network.”

As noted earlier, WWE is advertising Brock Lesnar’s return for this show.

Given that these plans remain the same, this will give the Slammy Awards relevancy heading into the December month. It’s also very crucial to understand that Monday Night Raw received its highest ratings in months, due to the anticipation Sting coming on Raw for the very first time. WWE will likely do whatever they can to keep those ratings high. Remember, these views will carry into the primetime months for pro wrestling.

WrestleMania 31 plans are still up in the air, especially for Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and John Cena. He was supposed to take on Cena at Royal Rumble, retain the title, then take on Roman Reigns at the big event. That would’ve been Reigns’ big moment to shine. His look is impeccable, and the dedication is clearly there, so why not give Reigns the big one?

Lesnar won’t be around after WrestleMania because a UFC return is rumored. Take that with a grain of salt though, as anything can happen on a given day. What would you like to see happen when Brock Lesnar returns? Who will he go after? Cena is the projected target for the WWE World Heavyweight champion, but there’s even credence to question that. There’s also a possibility that Reigns will interrupt Lesnar’s return. That’s just a fan dreaming, but anything can happen.
