Jetman Vs. Jets: Swiss Stuntman Flies In Formation With Two Jets [Video]

Last year, Swiss stuntman Yves Rossy, better known as Jetman, soared around the Grand Canyon with his jet-powered backpack. It was pretty cool. Ok, it was amazing. But it doesn’t even hold a candle to his latest stunt. Jetman joined his metallic brethren in the sky to do some aerobatic stunts with the Breitling Jet Team.

According to Jetman’s website, Rossy was at full speed while flying with the Breitling Jet Team, while the jets were moving as slow as they possibly could. But that doesn’t really make this stunt any less amazing.

In an interview with Discovery, Rossy said:

“It was great teamwork. I just have these two little wings. The two pilots did a great job. To fly in formation at these distances with real planes is quite difficult. But to be with an odd thing like me in formation… It is even more difficult. It was a really big challenge.”

Here’s the video of Jetman flying with the Breitling Jet Team.

It might be a little underwhelming now, but here’s the video of Jetman flying over the Grand Canyon. For this flight, Rossy was airborne for more than 8 minutes and reached speeds over 200 mph.

Are you impressed with Jetman’s aerial maneuvers? Are you dying for your own jet pack?
