Sara Gilbert Dishes on Relationship With Linda Perry

A few months after the end of her 10-year-long relationship with Glee writer Allison Adler, former Roseanne star Sara Gilbert was “papped” when out with her new girl.

36-year-old Gilbert has since confirmed her new relationship with 4 Non Blondes singer Linda Perry, but the actress and talk show host was still not entirely pleased with how the coupling was revealed to the public at large. Gilbert was asked about the incident on her new show The Talk with co-hosts including Aisha Tyler and Sharon Osbourne and she admitted to being taken off-guard by all the attention. It’s kind of cute how shy she gets when asked about being surprised by snapping cameras out with her new chick. Gilbert giggles:

“The other day I was just out, and the paparazzi were there,… It was Sunday morning and I wasn’t really prepared and there were these articles out that I’m in a new relationship. I go online, and it’s on CNN…it’s weird.”

Luckily for Gilbert and Perry, the surprise revelation did not seem to phase the new couple. She got a bit of applause from the audience as she discussed the new relationship and her subsequent surprise to find herself at the center of celeb gossip, and she joked:

“I do want to share [the relationship news] with you…but I want to do it on my own terms, in full hair and makeup.”

A sentiment everyone can totally relate to in the Facebook era, Sara. Gilbert is mom to two kids- 4-year-old Sawyer and 7-year-old Levi- with former partner Adler.
