Religious leader Rev. Billy Graham was hospitalized on Monday near his home in North Carolina. The Reverend was admitted after suffering from a cough, congestion and a slight fever, he is currently undergoing tests to determine if pneumonia has set in.

The 93-year-old evangelist was admitted to Mission Hospital in Asheville and is said to be in stable condition. According to hospital workers Mr. Graham was waving to staff, smiling and alert at the time of check-in. He is expected to spend at least the night in the hospital to undergo observations.

While Graham served as the head of his church for more than 60 years he has recently been forced to stay at his home Montreat, North Carolina because of macular degeneration and other age and health-related conditions.

During his prime Graham was capable of packing stadiums full of supports and was even the counsel to every US president since Harry Truman took office.

In his most recent triumph he published his book Nearing Home last month, a triumph among his followers in terms of sales and message.

Our best wishing go out to the entire Graham family and his followers as he fends off this latest round of sickness.
