Report: Kail Lowry, Jenelle Evans & Chelsea Houska Are ‘Ready To Film’ Season Six Of ‘Teen Mom 2’
Kail Lowry and the rest of the Teen Mom 2 cast will reportedly move on from the series without Leah Calvert, who announced on Friday she was quitting the show.
According to a new report, the sixth season of Teen Mom 2 has been confirmed and is expected to begin production without Calvert, who had appeared on the show with the other girls, including Kail Lowry, Jenelle Evans and Chelsea Houska, since season one.
“The other girls have signed on and are ready to film a sixth season,” a source told Radar Online on November 24. “They’ll be shooting as usual.”
“Now both Teen Mom series have whittled their casts down to three stars,” Radar continued. “Sex-tape star Farrah Abraham, 23, was dropped from the show when her antics became too racy for MTV. Teen Mom 1, starring Maci Bookout, 23, Catelynn Lowell, 22, and Amber Portwood, 24, will begin airing early next year.”
Last week, following Calvert’s Teen Mom 2 exit, the Inquisitr reported Corey Simms’ custody filing may have been what led her to leave the show.
“Leah’s final court date is coming up, and her behavior on the show made her look really bad to the judge,” a source told Radar Online on November 21. “Leah’s daughters are her number one priority. Now that the show could lead her to lose custody, she’s ready to leave her reality TV life behind.”
During Teen Mom 2 season five, Calvert, who has been especially close with Kail Lowry in recent years, was seen slurring her words and appearing to be completely out of it after taking a prescribed medication for her anxiety issues. Although she has reportedly stopped taking the medication, rumors continue to swirl regarding her alleged drug use, and the footage of her “druggy” behavior will forever be available on MTV’s official website and other sites around the web.
Last month, someone claiming to be Calvert’s drug dealer spoke to In Touch Weekly about her alleged addiction to prescription medication. “I used to give Leah the pills myself; she’s picked up 30 to 40 pills at a time from me,” the alleged drug dealer claimed, naming Vicodin, Lortab, Percocet and oxycodone as Calvert’s drugs of choice. “She was withdrawing $1,000 a week to buy pills. She gives [the middleman] the money and he gets them for her. They’re in this together.”
As the Inquisitr reported on Monday, Kail Lowry recently hinted she may move on from the series, as well, telling fans on Twitter, “So much to think about, one door closes, another opens.” However, according to this latest report, she will be filming season six.
