Leah Messer Hasn’t Revealed To Co-Stars Why She Is Leaving ‘Teen Mom 2’
Leah Messer recently announced via Twitter that she would not be signing on for a sixth season of Teen Mom 2. Fans were shocked to hear that the mother of three would no longer share her story on the reality television show, and immediately they began to speculate why Leah made the choice. While it has been a couple of days since she announced her shocking decision, fans still don’t know what exactly prompted her to come to that conclusion, and it appears that those around her, including her former co-stars, may not know either.
A source told Radar Online, “She hasn’t told anyone what’s really going on.”
Although she has always been close with her co-stars, if Kailyn Lowry, Chelsea Houska, or Jenelle Evans do know what is going on, they have stayed quiet. Despite Leah addressing the sixth season of Teen Mom 2 on her Twitter, none of the other cast members have mentioned it, and that may be because they have all reportedly signed their season six contracts. Once under contract, the girls aren’t allowed to talk too much about their lives or the show. It was previously reported by the Inquisitr that Kailyn Lowry may have been considering following Leah in not committing to a sixth season, but Radar’s source says the three other cast members are ready to film “as usual.”
While nobody really knows what prompted Leah Messer’s decision, plenty of rumors have surfaced. One such rumor suggests that the mom of three is afraid that if she continues to air her business on television she may lose custody of her twins. Her ex-husband, Corey Simms, wants full custody of the girls and the two are set to go back to court next month. One report suggests that this past season of Teen Mom 2 made Leah look “really bad to the judge.”
Another possible reason for Leah deciding not to carry on with the show is her current marital woes. Last month, her husband, Jeremy Calvert, accused her of cheating on him and claimed he would be filing for divorce. Since then, the couple have appeared to be working on their relationship off and on, and a Monday night tweet from Leah’s account suggest that things may be going good for the couple.
“You don’t have to keep me falling like this, but it’d sure be cool if you did.”
Leah is a huge fan of country music and she could have simply been listening to that particular Blake Shelton song and decided to tweet the lyrics. She included a smiley face emoji in the tweet, but that could simply indicate that the former Teen Mom 2 star is simply in better spirits these days.
With MTV set to film season six without her, some fans are holding onto hope that Leah Messer will change her mind at the last minute and decide to sign on for Teen Mom 2. However, there is no indication that Leah will change her mind, but fans can always hope.
