Another woman is accusing Bill Cosby of rape. Victoria Valentino, former Playboy Bunny, says Cosby drugged and raped her in the 70s, shortly after the death of her son.
Valentino, now aged 71, says Cosby, who was at that time a regular at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Club, was first introduced to her through a friend, Francesca Emerson, who was also a Playboy Bunny. Emerson, sensing Valentino’s deep depression after losing her son in a drowning accident, decided to introduce Valentino to Cosby in order to raise Valentino’s spirits. The three met up at Café Figaro in January of 1970. Valentino again met Cosby at the café weeks later, this time bringing along her roommate, Meg Foster.
Later in the evening, Cosby sent a limo to pick the pair up to have dinner with him at Sneaky Pete’s. Towards the end of dinner, Valentino says Cosby gave her a red pill in order to “cheer her up.” Cosby and Foster also took some pills, after which all three began slurring their words and had to leave the club. After telling the women he would take them home, Cosby instead took the two women to an apartment close to the Chateau Marmont Hotel because he wanted to show the pair some memorabilia. At this apartment, Valentino alleges, is where Bill Cosby raped her.
Valentino tells the Washington Post that once inside the apartment, Foster passed out and Valentino became ill, feeling as though the room was spinning and she was about to become physically ill. Valentino says this is when she noticed Cosby sitting on a love seat near Foster, and that Cosby had an erection.
“I reached out, grabbing him, trying to get his attention, trying to distract him,” Valentino said. “He came over to me and sat down on the love seat and opened his fly and grabbed my head and pushed my head down. And then he turned me over. It was like a waking nightmare.”
Valentino never called the police as she felt she would not be believed.
“What kind of credibility did I have?” she said. “In those days, it was always the rape victim who wound up being victimized. You didn’t want to go to the police. That’s the last thing you wanted to do back then.”
Victoria Valentino is just one of 16 women accusing Bill Cosby of rape . Although accusations against the former comedian are mounting, Cosby says he does not have to answer innuendos .
