Shocking Lana Del Ray And Marilyn Manson Video Deemed ‘So Sick’ By Director Eli Roth
In an interview with Larry King, Hostel director Eli Roth stated that he had made a video with Lana Del Ray and Marilyn Manson that was “so sick it has been locked in a vault for over a year.” Apparently, the vault wasn’t secure enough because on Thursday, a short clip featuring Del Ray in a graphic rape scene was posed online before it was immediately taken off by YouTube. The video appears to be the same disturbing video Roth spoke about to King.
Although speculation seems to be that the video is for a Marilyn Manson song, Pitchfork is reporting that Manson has denied involvement with the project.
In a statement, Kathryn Frazier of Biz3 said, “Manson did not direct this, shoot it, nor was it for a Marilyn Manson video or out-take footage made by him or to be used by him with his music… It must be a fan video splicing up old Manson video footage with someone else’s Lana Del Rey footage.”
Although it could in fact be a fan splicing up the Del Ray images into a Marilyn Manson video and posting their version on YouTube, where did the Del Ray rape images come from? Although Manson has denied involvement, Roth publicly spoke about the project when a fan asked if Roth would ever consider a project with Marilyn Manson. Roth stated that he worked with both artists on the “sick” video and then went on to say that he and Manson have been good friends for several years.
In 2012, Manson and Del Ray were photographed together, and there was talk that the two were romantically involved. What unexplained project could have brought Del Ray, Manson, and Roth together to film these disturbing rape images? This controversy couldn’t come at a better time for Marilyn Manson as he is set to release his ninth album in January 2015 and begin a tour in support of the release.
Physical violence seems to be a recurrent topic of discussion where Del Ray is a victim. As reported by the Inquisitr, Lana was again put in the spotlight as violent lyrics were written about her by bad boy rapper, Eminem, in comparison to the recent Ray Rice incident.
“But I may fight for gay rights, especially if they dyke is more of a knockout than Janay Rice/Play nice? [expletive deleted] I’ll punch Lana Del Rey right in the face twice, like Ray Rice in broad daylight in the plain sight of the elevator surveillance/’Til her head is banging on the railing, then celebrate with the Ravens.”
Roth and Del Ray have yet to comment on the unexplained assault video.
