‘The Originals’ Preview: Klaus And Elijah Try To Get Kol Or Finn To Talk, Plus Rebekah Returns

What’s going to happen next on The Originals now that Klaus and Elijah have Kol and Finn? Will they be able to get their brothers to tell them what Esther has planned?

Access Hollywood spoke to The Originals star Joseph Morgan about just what comes next, and he revealed that all they really need is either Kol or Finn to tell them what they need to know.

“For the first time in this show, we’ve got all four brothers in the same room, so I think the idea is to learn what we can from them about Esther and her motives and to do that we only need one of them to talk. So, I think that’s the nice kind of threat that we can pose to them…like, ‘Only one of you has to comply, the other one we don’t need. So who’s it gonna be?’ And you’ll see we separate them and we try and get to each of them in turn… there’s a bit of good cop, bad cop that goes on as well.”

A sneak peek from the next episode, 208, “The Brothers That Care Forgot,” shows Marcel stopping by to say “hello” to Finn and Kol, and he says he “volunteered for this.” Marcel has been working with the Mikaelsons this season and even teamed up with Hayley to help find Elijah, as previously reported by the Inquisitr, but this might be the moment he enjoys the most. This is when Klaus explains that he only needs one of them.

“If you continue to defy me, your lives will be reduced to an unending sequence of agonizing torture,” he warns.

At the end of the last The Originals episode, Esther went after Cami, and Morgan said that Klaus is “not gonna like it, in short,” when he learns about that because he’s “protective over Cami,” and she has come to understand him.

“She understands the darker side of him and the motives behind it, rather than writing him off as an evil man or something like that, which would be very easy to do, which a lot of people did, I think, when he joined ‘Vampire Diaries.’… He has that bond with her…. He’s a guy who will do very, very bad things for good reasons to protect the people he cares about and he loves and she is within that circle, definitely, as is Marcel as is Hayley, Rebekah, Elijah.”

Meanwhile, E! Online posted a sneak peek of Rebekah’s return in this upcoming episode of The Originals. In the video clip, which you can watch below, Elijah gets to spend time with his niece, Hope. As she explains to her brother, Rebekah has really enjoyed taking care of Klaus and Hayley’s baby.

“[Spending every day with her is] quite lovely. It feels so human…. I know I have to give her back to Hayley when the time is right, but she’s made me realize how much I want that child of my own that I know I can’t have.”

The last sneak peek that the CW has released shows the four brothers together, and the topic of conversation is where Rebekah is. “How did she escape your vile machinations?” Finn asks Klaus. He then defends their mother’s actions and thinks that Rebekah will side with Esther. Watch that clip of the next The Originals episode below.
