Jill Duggar, Derick Dillard Of ’19 Kids And Counting’ Talk ‘Baby Dilly’ Preparations
Jill Duggar Dillard and Derick Dillard of 19 Kids and Counting are expecting their first baby, a boy, in the spring. Jill and Derick haven’t been sharing quite as many baby bump pictures on Instagram lately as they did early on, but they have just shared some big updates for curious fans. What’s the latest?
Derick and Jill will welcome “Baby Dilly” in March, and now they’ve revealed pictures of their ultrasound of the baby. In a new video shared on TLC’s site, the 19 Kids and Counting stars point out how he has all his fingers and toes, and they’re clearly already smitten. Though early in Jill’s pregnancy many fans speculated that she might be expecting twins, it seems these latest photos would put those rumors to rest once and for all.
Jill and Derick note that their baby boy is kicking a lot now, and they’re obviously quite excited by every new development. They are preparing to have a natural home birth, and Derick shares via People that they’ve been doing all their homework together to get ready. He adds that he’s a Boy Scout, so his motto is to always be prepared and that’s how he’s approaching the baby’s birth.
Duggar is now 22 weeks pregnant, and she says that she and Derick are very much on the same page about their birth plan. They are writing out their plan and practicing relaxation techniques together. They are keeping a journal throughout the pregnancy and they sing “Jesus Loves Me” to the baby every night.
How about the nursery? The 19 Kids & Counting stars indicate that they haven’t done much with the baby’s room yet. They add that after the holidays they will get started on that project. In the meantime, Jill is practicing all of the exercises they learn in class and doing prenatal workouts. In the TLC video, they shared that she is feeling much better now than she did in the early months of the pregnancy.
The Dillards may have a few months to wait yet until “Baby Dilly” is born, but they aren’t wasting any time in getting prepared. 19 Kids and Counting fans love hearing how they are embracing their natural home birth plan, and people are anxiously counting down to when Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard will welcome their baby boy in the spring. The newlyweds seem to be quite happy together and fans can’t wait to see Jill and Derick with their new baby in a matter of months.
