Turkey Fryer: Cheapest Deals For Your Thanksgiving Day Fried Butterball Turkey
If your wanting a nice crisp fried butterball turkey for Thanksgiving Day without having to invest $100-plus in a turkey fryer, the deals are here to save those big bucks for one of Black Friday’s gadget deals.
In a related report by the Inquisitr, the upcoming iPhone 6 Plus deals for Black Friday 2014 have shoppers excited that they may be able to snag the latest phablet, Walmart’s 5 days of Black Friday shopping frenzy has officially been declared, going beyond even Thanksgiving Day.
It’s a week away from the day of the year Americans uphold as the day to be thankful. For many, family and eating great food is near the top of the list. This year’s turkey fryer specials are available in store and online.
The quickest and easiest place for most will be either your local Walmart or Target. Both retail super stores are running in-store specials for about $48 for an all-in-one 30 quart turkey fryer kit.
Target is carrying one of two options. The in-store special for a “Turkey Fryer — 3 in 1 Multi-Use” is $48 and can cook up to 18 lbs. The set includes the 30 qt. pot, lid, steam basket, t-star stand, lifter, thermometer, and burner. It’s a good deal but may not be carried at every store.
Alternately, your local Target may carry an oil-less turkey fryer special, a “Char-Broil oil-less infrared turkey fryer.” Target’s $79 in-store oil-less fryer special seems to be an alternative if a store is not carrying an oil-based special — and is still a good deal as Char-Broil’s fryer can run $99.
Walmart’s turkey fryer deal is $48.96 for a “Grillsmith All-In-One 30 Qt. Turkey Fryer.” The kit comes with the standard components but does have a nice added feature of automatic timer with self shut-off. Combined with Walmart’s online-to-store option with free same-day pickup, this fryer may be the easiest to purchase.
Bass Pro Shop and Lowe’s have the best online turkey fryer deals, but the window is quickly closing for these specials because of shipping time.
Bass Pro Shops 30-Quart Propane Turkey Fryer is $39.97. If you are a Bass Pro Shop fan and prefer them over another retailer, then order soon, but first it would be best if you knew the time it takes for a site-to-store purchase to arrive at your local store, as the online time frame says 5-7 business days. There is the option of checking in-store for the same special or paying for quicker shipping but then this wouldn’t be the cheapest turkey fryer deal.
Lowe’s has the rest beat with a “Masterbuilt 30-Quart 20-lb Cylinder Manual Ignition Gas Fryer” for $39. Unfortunately, the item is not available for delivery and the local stores that were checked online for availability did not carry it. Maybe you will be lucky to find your local store carrying this $39 special.
When preparing your Thanksgiving turkey, consider a different recipe, but you better poll the guests before you commit to this one. Not only is the turkey deep fried, it’s then bathed in a buffalo hot sauce. It seems fitting to eat this one while watching the football games. Bleu cheese and celery is a given.
Of course, in using your turkey fryer, make sure to follow the instructions to avoid any Thanksgiving disasters and an early fireworks display.
