Reality star Teresa Giudice is reportedly not eating very much these days as she continues to wait for her upcoming prison sentence to begin.
Radar Online reports that an inside source opened up recently about the Real Housewives of New Jersey star’s current eating and drinking habits . The source even claims that Teresa Giudice has lost about 11 pounds from her 5’8? frame in recent months and has caused her family members to become concerned.
“She’s skipping meals and surviving on coffee, a few nibbles and wine… She looks frail. Her family is worried as she continues to obsess about prison and waste away.”
The 42-year-old reality starlet is not the only person in her family that has drastically changed their eating and drinking habits in fear of an upcoming prison sentence. As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Teresa’s husband Joe has been throwing back quite a few “adult beverages” on a daily basis to cope with his own future jail sentence.
In an interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live , Joe Giudice admitted to drinking every day and regularly downing up to four glasses of wine every night.
Even though Joe and Teresa Giudice are taking their current situation and future incarcerations pretty hard, their eldest daughter has been able to find a silver lining for the dark cloud.
13-year-old Gia Giudice is definitely not looking forward to having to say goodbye to her parents as each of them heads off to prison at different times over the next several years.
However, in a recent interview with Access Hollywood , Gia shows that she believes this will only make her family stronger in the long run.
“Honestly, obviously, any news that is hurtful or horrible to hear is so upsetting. But my family is probably one of the strongest families I know, so we’ll get through this. It’s gonna be fine. And when it’s over, we’re gonna be better than ever.”
Teresa Giudice was sentenced to 15 months in prison last month after submitting a guilty plea for tax fraud. Her husband, Joe, was sentenced to serve a 42-month sentence that will start shortly after Teresa has been released. The judge agreed to stagger their jail sentences in the interests of the married couple’s four daughters.
Teresa is expected to report to a low-security federal prison camp located in Danbury, Connecticut on January 5 to officially begin her prison sentence. A major benefit of the prison’s location is the relatively short distance from the Giudice’s home. Therefore, it will not take very long for Teresa’s daughters to drive and visit their mother.
