LeAnn Rimes Ready For Christmas, Will Perform On ‘Christmas In Rockefeller Center’
It may not yet be Thanksgiving, but LeAnn Rimes is already getting ready for Christmas. While most people wait until after they have had their Thanksgiving turkey to trim the tree, it looks like the country singer kicked things off a little early this year. Of course, that may be for a spread she is doing in Country Weekly.
“Livening up the photo shoot today #countryweekly #home #canttakeyourselftooseriously,” Rimes posted along with a photo of herself in front of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree.
While several photos were taken for the spread, LeAnn Rimes wasn’t able to share too many photos. However, in the one that she did post to her Instagram account, fans were able to catch a glimpse at her playful side. Wearing a beautiful robe and matching shoes, LeAnn looks comfortable as she sticks out her tongue at the camera.
One reason for the upcoming spread may be to promote her Christmas album One Christmas: Chapter 1. Rimes last released a studio album in 2013 with the album Spitfire. She has been singing since she was a young girl, releasing her first album Blue in 1996. At the time, she was 13 and one of the youngest country stars to ever hit the country music scene. While her personal life has outshined her professional life in recent years, there is no doubt that she has a powerful voice and the star power to put out more hits.
Aside from a Christmas album, LeAnn Rimes will be performing at the Christmas in Rockefeller Center tree lighting ceremony. This is an annual event and is televised and features performances by music artists each year. Along with Rimes, country singer Trisha Yearwood will also be performing, according to The Boot. Several other music artists are also set to appear, but so far, Rimes and Yearwood are the only country stars on the roster for the evening. The special will air December 3.
Interestingly, LeAnn Rimes and Trisha Yearwood have another connection. Both country artists sang renditions of the song “How Do I Live” for the 1997 movie Con Air, although neither version appeared on the soundtrack for the film.
The country singer hasn’t just been getting into the Holiday spirit at home, though. LeAnn Rimes and her husband, Eddie Cibrian, took Cibrian’s sons to The Grove for a tree lighting event. In another photo that Rimes shared with her fans on social networking, the four look happy celebrating the Holiday season. Although there have been reports that the couple is unhappy, as previously reported by the Inquisitr, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are happy and Rimes may even be hoping for a child of her own with her husband.
