Jose Canseco Says His Finger Fell Off—Will His Agent Release The Video?
Jose Canseco has had a serious run of bad luck within the few weeks.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Canseco accidentally shot off the middle finger on his left hand. The incident occurred in late October while the 50-year-old was trying to clean a Ruger pistol in his kitchen.
Jose later admitted that he should have simply had the whole digit “amputated from the beginning.” Instead, the finger was reattached, and Canseco attempted to go on with his life as usual.
Unfortunately, warning signs indicated that the rest of his body was rejecting the reattached finger.
Jose Canseco referred to the extremity as his “smelling finger.” For the record, a foul odor in instances such as this is usually a strong indicator the body part is rotting away.
Canseco also complained that in addition to the smell, the finger had no bone connecting it to the rest of his hand and that it felt as if it were “falling off.”
To get an idea of just how disturbing this situation is, there is an image of the finger shortly before it fell off. Jose Canseco uploaded the image to his Twitter account. However, the star has since deleted the image.
You can view the cached tweet of the rotting finger HERE. Warning: The image is EXTREMELY GRAPHIC and potentially NSFW.
The retired baseball star apparently decided not to seek medical assistance, opting to continue on with his life as best as he could.
Unfortunately, Jose Canseco was forced to deal with the matter sooner rather than later.
During a Thursday night poker game, Canseco accidentally put more than money on the table:
Dam I was playing in a poker tournament last night and something crazy happened to my finger that I shot off and they put back on.

If the mental image provided by the linked image, and Canseco’s own descriptions weren’t enough, allegedly someone filmed the incident.
The anonymous individual was said to have sold the footage to Canseco’s agent. Whether or not this was done to keep the video away from media outlets is unknown.
This guy called my agent and sold him the video.of my finger falling off.it looks kinda funny.lol

Some are even alleging that the incident never occurred, thanks in large part to the strange things frequently tweeted by the former baseball player.
For instance, Canseco went on an epic space-themed rant a few days ago. It came a day after unmanned Rosetta spacecraft Philae successfully landed on Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko.
Still, the awful state of Canseco’s finger strongly suggests that it falling off is not beyond the realm of possibility.
Do you believe Jose Canseco is telling the truth about his finger? Is so, are you morbidly curious enough to watch a viral video of it falling off?
