Megyn Kelly: Obamacare ‘Lies’ Cause Fox Host To Lose It On-Air
Megyn Kelly is not happy with Obamacare “lies.” According to the Huffington Post, the host of The Kelly File lost control when she interviewed a Democratic guest on her series earlier this week. Kelly interviewed Bernard Whitman on her news series Tuesday night, and the conversation between Megyn and Whitman became quite heated. At one point, Megyn took a moment to compose herself by burying her head in her hands.
However, that moment did not help Kelly. The debate between Kelly and Whitman continued to get more and more heated. Whitman defended the recent comments made by Jonathan Gruber about the Affordable Care Act in this interview. Gruber blamed the American voters and their “stupidity” for passing the law when they knew what they were getting. Kelly defends the American voters by claiming that the Obamacare law is full of lies.
“Oh, my God. Seriously? Seriously? Everyone knew what they were getting? Is that what you want the viewers to believe?”
The discussion continued for a few moments, and video of the interview and Kelly’s outburst began to make the rounds on the internet by Wednesday morning.
This was not the only incident that put a spotlight on Megyn Kelly and The Kelly File this week. On Monday night, she invited Mike Huckabee on her show for an interview. However, a slip of the tongue had her accidentally saying an expletive on air, according to Us Magazine. The word used is obvious by those that look at the man’s last name.
Huckabee did not say anything about the flub during the interview, but Kelly brought up the slip by the end of the episode. Viewers started to buzz about Megyn’s flub on Twitter. She spoke out about the fan reaction during the broadcast.
“Something else that happened on the program is also getting a lot of attention on Twitter, including this tweet from from some nice man named Sean who said, ‘Megyn, you’re a delight to watch and gave a stoic performance after your slip-up with Governor Huckabee’s name. I thought I was stoic, too — I have the heart of a 12-year-old boy.”
Megyn Kelly has become one of the top hosts on Fox News. Her popularity even earned her some friendly poking by Saturday Night Live on a recent broadcast. The Inquisitr reported on the parody of Kelly’s news style. Kelly did not mind the parody at all. On the broadcast of her show that aired the following Monday, she commented on Cecily Strong’s performance. She thought it was “pretty good.” She just thought her voice could be deeper, and something else could be a little smaller.
