Jill Duggar, Derick Dillard ‘Really, Really Happy,’ Says Duggar Mom Michelle
Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard of 19 Kids & Counting have been laying a bit low lately, now that they’re married and expecting their first baby. Though they, of course, were at the wedding of Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald earlier in the month, they haven’t been sharing much via social media lately. Is there trouble in paradise? Not at all, says Jill’s mom Michelle Duggar.
Michelle shares on her blog that Jill and Derick have had a very smooth transition into married life. Though the past year has definitely been a whirlwind for them, the family has helped along the way, and Michelle says it’s been very sweet to see Derick and Jill starting their life and family together.
The Dillards live a little ways away from the Duggar home now, about 30 minutes or so it appears, but they are still very involved with Jill’s family. Michelle says that the 19 Kids & Counting newlyweds stop over often and are always invited to join in on family activities. Surely, when the couple’s baby boy comes, they’ll be even more connected to the Duggar family as they forge ahead with their newly formed individual family as well.
19 Kids & Counting fans have seen plenty of photos from Jill and Derick where they look quite happy, and Michelle says that’s definitely been the case. She says that it’s been the joy of Jill’s life to marry Derick, and they feel blessed to have one another.
While fans will have to wait a bit to see Jill’s pregnancy, and the baby’s delivery, play out in episodes of 19 Kids & Counting, she has shared quite a few updates via social media. A recent post by Derick showed Jill’s baby bump, noting that they are about halfway to the point of meeting their son.
It’s clear from Jill’s latest Instagram posts that she’s still very involved in her family’s day-to-day activities as she’s praised her mom and several of her siblings in recent posts. Fans hope she continues to mix in plenty of baby-related posts over the coming months too, especially as there will surely be a gap between seasons where viewers are waiting for new episodes to come.
For now, 19 Kids & Counting fans are thrilled to hear that Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are so happy in their new marriage. Next up on the show is an episode featuring Jill’s older brother, Josh, his wife, Anna, and their kids, and then fans will have to stay tuned to see what comes next.
