Paula Patton is a few months separated now from her split with husband Robin Thicke, and the actress appears ready to put the drama behind her with a big new job and a possible love interest as well.
This week, the actress was announced in the cast for the highly anticipated Warcraft movie. The movie’s production information was kept under wraps for a long time, but after director Duncan Jones attended BlizzCon to promote the project, Legendary Pictures released a cast list that included Paula Patton.
The actress play Garona, a member of the Alliance. Her character description notes that she is “a strong-willed survivor who is caught between the Alliance and the Horde and must decide where her true loyalty lies.”
Along with her big new project, Paula Patton may have a new love interest as well. Reports indicate that the 39-year-old mom has been dating, though nothing serious yet.
While she’s moving on from Robin Thicke, Paula Patton is still maintaining a good relationship with the father of her 4-year-old son, Julia Fuego Thicke. Last week, the family went on an outing together , but not before Robin used his son as a wingman of sorts at a visit to a park
“[Robin and his son] were both dressed in workout gear, looking incredibly cute and that drew a lot of female attention,” an insider told Dish Nation . “Robin obviously thought it was a waste if he didn’t act on it, so he was chatting with women left, right and center!”
The insider continued, “He would pick his son up and introduce him, too. It wasn’t just women approaching him, he was laying on the charm, smiling at them and looking back for ‘a better view’ as well.”
Those excited to see Paula Patton in the Warcarft movie will have a bit of a wait. The movie is slated for release on March 11, 2016.
