Miley Cyrus Defends Curvy Women on Twitter
Is Miley Cyrus fat? Recent pictures of the star have some critics saying that the singer has lost control of her weight. Miley says that not only are the insults hurtful to herself, they are also damaging to girls around the country.
Miley tweeted a photo of an emaciated girl and said:
“By calling girls like me fat, this is what you’re doing to other people…. I love MYSELF & if you could say the same you wouldn’t be sitting on your computer trying to hurt others.”
Miley added:
“I don’t wanna be shaped like a girl I LOVE being shaped like a WOMAN & trust me ladies your man won’t mind either.”
And in case anybody needed proof that full figured girls are sexy, Miley tweeted this photo of Marilyn Monroe.
Cyrus’ celebrity friend Demi Lovato showed her support by tweeting:
@MileyCyrus god I love you. SO DO YOU!!! And whoever called you that has it coming. Miss you more than ever… ps SO proud of you for posting that!#curvesareBEAUTIFUL“
Lovato has had her own weight issues in the past. Lovato checked into rehab last year to deal with an eating disorder. At the time, the star said:
“I became very depressed, and my only way of really coping with it was through my eating disorder. So I just stopped eating.”
Liam Hemsworth, who is currently dating Miley Cyrus, said that he found Cyrus’ curves sexy. In a recent interview he did to promote his new movie, “The Hunger Games,” Hemsworth said:
“There is this place in Nashville called Steak and Shake, which is pretty much the best food, ever. That is our secret, sexy place to go. When I look over at her when she’s biting into a steak sandwich and there is some steak sauce dripping down her chin, there is nothing sexier than that.”
