Justin Bieber And Selena Gomez Fought On Instagram This Weekend
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez fired off explosive sparks at each other this weekend, all of it played out on Instagram.
Just two days after the 22-year-old pop princess released her exposing, raw video for her emotional single, “The Heart Wants What It Wants,” which she later confirmed is about her on-and-off relationship with Justin, the Canadian responded with a message of his own.
On Saturday (Nov. 8), the Biebs posted a two-part Instagram statement, which appears to suggest he believes Selena made a choice each time she went back to their (according to the video) passionate but flawed romance, and cannot simply blame her heart.
In short; love is a choice. One, Selena made over and over again.
Elaborating, Justin captioned his post, writing,
“It’s easy to love when you feel it, but love when it’s hard to love.”
No doubt many will have different interpretations of the caption, which is more cryptic than the statement. It could be read as Justin telling Selena: It’s easy to love in the good times, but what about when someone is hard to love (meaning himself) or things get tough?
Another angle is that the “Boyfriend” singer is possibly reminding the former Disney starlet that she ended their latest reunion, and essentially saying something like: You can’t really have loved me if you left when things got hard.
Either way, Selena wasn’t having it.
Just one hour after her former beau posted his statement, the songstress punched out a split photo of herself with actor Shiloh Fernandez — who played the leading man in “The Heart Wants What It Wants” music video.
There was no caption to the starlet’s Instagram, but it wasn’t needed.
During her post-video premiere interview with Ryan Seacrest, Selena revealed, “I think he [Justin] was a little jealous of the video guy at first.”
So, Jelena fun and games continue.
While Selena’s opener monologue to her video alludes to an infidelity as the, “something so stupid” that “completely shattered” her before their first breakup in 2012, Justin’s post comes across as frustration, annoyance or anger, at the clearly false notion that Selena didn’t make voluntary choices during their countless reunions that followed.
And who knows what really happened during Bieber and Gomez’s most recent split?
A candid video of the pair evidently not speaking to each other at St. Maarten’s airport in the Caribbean on September 29, revealed they were having issues before they hit Paris for Fashion Week and the Biebs’ later lunch meet with model pal Kendall Jenner.
During her sit-down with Seacrest, Selena said her post-Coachella Instagram unfollow of Kendall and her sister Kylie after their Festival hangout in April wasn’t over a feud.
“We were never not friends,” she told Seacrest on the radio show, adding that she made a decision to only follow fans on Instagram and “didn’t realize it [her Jenners unfollow] would start so much stuff.”
A video of the Latina singing Happy Birthday to Kendall with Cara Delevingne and friends during Jenner’s recent 19th celebrations seems to confirm this.
Meanwhile, Justin attended a church service at Hillsong Church in New York on Sunday with Hailey Baldwin and Kendall Jenner.
Super cool to be at Hillsong church for the first time tonight in NY and sitting in first row was Jesus, Justin Beiber & Kendall Jenner

Bottom line? If the couple were still together, the introduction to the actress-singer’s video (which has been held back for a year) would likely have been removed.
At its core: the once happy — but now fractured — Jelena relationship isn’t that different from most teen, twenty-somethings and even older. How many of us are still with our first loves? Whatever the reasons for Justin and Selena’s latest split, both made their choices during their four-year dance.
As Selena herself noted, “I made some decisions that weren’t great and so did he — and that’s why we went through all that to only make us better.”
So move on without blame kids. You loved, lost and learned. That’s life.
