Mama June’s Cameo In ‘Dumb & Dumber To’ Not Cut Despite Scandal

Mama June may have lost her family’s reality show on TLC, but she has not lost everything. Although Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was canceled after June Shannon started dating a convicted sex offender (who did time for molesting June’s oldest daughter, Anna), the reality star’s cameo in Dumb & Dumber To is set to stay in the film. According to Gossip Cop, actor Jeff Daniels revealed the news, which was somewhat shocking to quite a few people.

“No one called me about making an edit. She was in the scene at the premiere I saw, so apparently, she’s still in it. Hope whatever’s going on, she works it out. She was a nice gal for that morning [that they shot the scene]. I couldn’t care less. I shoot the movie. It’s part of being an actor. You give them the movie, it goes to the edit room, and you’re done. I don’t worry about it, other people are paid to worry about those things. I show up. If it’s in, it’s in. If it’s not, it’s not.”

Mama June made a cameo appearance in the film with her daughter, Alana Thompson, better known as Honey Boo Boo. According to the Huffington Post, it sounds like it may have been too late to edit Shannon and Thompson out of the film, even if film execs wanted to edit the final reel. While some people might be outraged, there really isn’t too much that can be done at this point, since the highly anticipated film will be released next week on Nov. 14.

June Shannon’s decision to allow a sex offender around her children has caused outrage among thousands of people. Many feel as though TLC made the right decision by pulling the show, since the network is basically saying that they don’t support such behavior, and they wouldn’t want to highlight a person who would do such a thing.

While June may have scored a “win” with Dumb & Dumber To, she may be faced with losing even more than she bargained for. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, there is a chance that Mama June will lose custody of Alana Thomspon (her youngest daughter) because of whom she has chosen to date. Apparently Uncle Poodle and his partner have spoken out about getting custody of Alana if things get any worse or if they feel as though Alana is in danger.
